Careful, quincygirl is going to show to tell you Gavin didn't shot them....and Even if he shot them it was in self defense. Incredibly, she's not even smart enough to realize That one of those two options excludes the other. As far as your complaints, you charge what you feel you can prove and convict on. Al Capone was charged with tax fraud not being a murderous crime boss

I would venture a guess that there are more people living closer to the current jail than there would be living near the new jail.Lampe Hi Rise just across the street has 11 floors of apartments...of course those are run by the Quincy Housing Authority so I'm guessing you don't count the low income residents as people.

"But a transcript reveals that Limbaugh did not make any vow to move permanently out of the United States. Instead, he was addressing the caller's question about how to get private medical treatment if Obamacare was adopted.

Limbaugh's peroration came after the caller had asked, "If the healthcare bill passes, where would you go for healthcare yourself?" http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/progressives-mo...

Oh but you have been misled once again by CBS News. Limbaugh was asked where he would go for HEALTHCARE not where he would go to live.....so typical of the left to twist words and take them out of context...CBS the home of disgraced Dan Rather caught fabricating an entire story about Bush....now there's a good source.

I guess the multiple times the Park District has said that this is all about the Auto Club recognizing that the Quincy Park District is actually the owner of Quincy Park District property isn't good enough for you.

Copley wants more space not necessarily new space in the new jail...although he has mentioned that. If the city is hell bent on being downtown then the city can move a portion of police operations into the courthouse such as the patrol and investigation divisions and have them operate a short term lock-up there as well for drunks etc that they bring in overnight. Those people that will get arraigned the next day. That solves their space problem and also eliminates a lot of transfers on prisoners who will get bonded out the next day anyway. You are likely going to need holding cells at the courthouse anyway with prisoners awaiting their court time. Those that don't bond out right away would go back to the county jail with that days transfers. QPD probably makes 90% of the arrests anyway and most will bond out the next day so the QPD could just take them to current site until the next day and they either get arraigned and held over and transferred to the jail or they bond out and go home having never been in the county jail. The administrative functions could remain at 8th and Maine.
As far as the rest of your post its just hysteria. There is no evidence that the courthouse would ever be moved.

I asked in the other thread for all those wanting to spend $7,000,000 more in construction costs and $440,000 additional annually to stand up and be counted.........not a one of them would raise their hand.

Due, no doubt, at least partially to the Cardinals sucking up all the after game traffic with the ballpark village.
