Starswirl the Bearded is an enigma but is always touted as the pinnacle of unicorn magics. He's been attributed to leading the unicorn TRIBE to raise and lower the celestial bodies, training the Princesses themselves, inventing many spells, etc, etc. Twilight Sparkle has always had the potential for greatness hence her becoming an apprentice to Her Majesty. I dare say she may know 80% of all current spells in all of existence due to her voracious reading. Starlight Glimmer. She definitely knows different abilities than Twilight but I'm unconvinced that she is more powerful. She simply had the upper hand with her little plan forcing Twi to try something else. Every other unicorn just knows simple spells that we've seen many times. I can't even think of another unicorn that can 'blink'/teleport other than Twi. (I do not count Sunset and I've seen Canterlot ponies be utterly surprised when they witness it) The Flim Flam Brothers managed to enhance their power through some 'technomagic' but it was sub-par to Twilight Sparkle (I'm sure AJ would've kicked her if she said, "I'll pick. You do barrel duty hehe) As for the case with Rarity. She has great magical agility and precision. When her cutie mark got changed, she gained or was imparted this new ability to use her magic to manipulate weather. Well.. yeah.. she got that from another Element of Harmony. The Mane Six are the embodiment of the strongest magic at the time. It makes sense she could do that. Unicorns have a 'jack of all trades' type of magic but they are not OP. They rely on the other two tribes just as all other ponies do. Other exceptions to the rule for the other tribes: RD, Lightning Dust, Maud Pie, Pinkie Pie. I'm sure they're "OP" as well. :) I do love this debate post and very much look forward to seeing more of it! Thanks guys! :) Sombra.. my King..
