Unions used to be about keeping workers safe in places like steel mills and things like that. Helping make labor rules so people weren't forced to work insane amounts of hours. That stuff is understandable. But why the hell do we need a union for teachers in todays world? Why do federal employees need a union? Are you telling me working conditions in government/education jobs are so bad they need to uionize? Scratch that...I worked as a government contractor for about 5 years and it got to the point I couldn't stand going to work because I got to see first hand how things are done.
