No, a "common person" pulls over and stops for Police. Before you say deaths are caused by tasers, do some research. The actual tasering of a person does not cause death. There has been more research done on this weapon than mace, batons, or any other weapon.

KY3 : Ex-lawman faces more charges of having sex with girl | KY3 | Local News

Sounds like the Sheriff's Department has already taken care of this problem, since he is a "former" reserve Deputy. So. . . that would now make him just a citizen that works at ????? who was caught committing a sex crime. But boy that headline of "Ex-Lawman" sure sounds better for the media doesn't it? If he is convicted of a sex crime he will have to register as a sex offender, there is no breaks on that. I know of some similar cases and they are now registered sex offenders.

KY3 : Nixa aldermen think mayor should resign over DWI charge | KY3 | Local News

He has already admitted to the DWI so there is no argument about waiting to see if he is guilty, only what kind of deal he will get. As for resigning, Nixa has already set a precedent when their Traffic Officer got a DWI in 1996 and he was forced to resign. SO.... the Mayor obviously holds a higher position and should set the example. That officer was forced to resign, and he was a great officer and did a lot of great things. He is still an officer and learned from his mistake and holds a supervisory position with the Police Department he is with now. The Mayor needs to resign and if the citizens want him back, they can forgive him by re-electing him in the next election.

OMG!! Are you all listening to yourselves? Your saying the media isn't covering his side of the story. Did you ever think that he's not talking because he's GUILTY! Innocent people speak up for theirselves. People, let's think about this, why would a MARRIED woman make up a story like that? She's got a husband and married woman don't want their husbands to think they have been flirting, cheating, or raped. If a married woman was wanting to have sex with this guy she wouldn't tell anyone. He was probably trying to be like the movie Top Gun where the military guy follows the girl into the restroom to get what he wants. You all keep saying that he's innocent until proven guilty, well, the same goes for her. Stop calling her names, how immature. The point is, he was out of state, he was drinking and looking for somebody. He put himself in this position. He should have NEVER gone into that restroom. Being a deputy he knows better to do something like that. You folks that say you know him. We never really know anybody completely. I bet all of you can think of something secret about yourself that you've never told anyone else.

Everyone always says they were shocked to learn someone they knew committed a crime. Get real people! We all make mistakes. Being a good guy, Best Deputy, whatever, doesn't make us Saints. It will come out in the end, the whole truth. Whichever way it goes, he should not have put himself in this situation and being a cop he should know this. As for Sheriff Hill, he handled it the same way most Sheriffs or Police Chiefs would, his employee has been arrested so they go on administrative leave, PERIOD. If this Deputy was aGreat Deputy, as mentioned in many posts, then it would have to have been that much harder for the Sheriff to suspend him. Good Job Sheriff! Again, it's Ethics, as in the Nixa Mayor's arrest. You must follow the law and enforce it equally or lose the trust of the community. If Nevatt is innocent, some will owe him an apology. If not, he owes us an apology.

KY3 : Prosecutor charges Nixa mayor with DWI | KY3 | Local News

Hey "jowens"! Get the facts straight! The Officer arrested in Georgia was a Deputy Sheriff with the Stone County Sheriff's Department, not Nixa. Again, since my original post has disappeared, Kudos to the Nixa Officer and his Police Chief for having the Ethics and Professionalism to do their jobs and not just give the Mayor a ride home. It is common for agencies to call another agency to take over an investigation/arrest when there could exist a conflict of interest, (relatives, co-workers, etc.). Again, Job Well Done Nixa Police Department! (and I'm not normally a supporter of them).
