Animals are all intelligent creatures, and homo sapiens is just one of them. As you very well know, territory is an essential element for any animal to survive and thrive.

A very big difference between a Dublin animal and a Belfast animal, is that the Dublin animal was awarded with 5/6 of the territory of the island and has his Irish Republican self-determination respected, whereas the Belfast animal only gains 1/6 on the island's territory, yet has its Unionist self-determination disrespected.

The entirely abnormal Stormont set-up goes out of its way to ensure Sinn Fein are in power.

The electorate is not infallible. Part of the electorate have endorsed and rewarded unapologetic terrorists and mafia bosses. The minority of rioting that has been occuring in overwhelmingly peaceful demonstrations is indeed unacceptable, but part of the electorate have set a precedent whereby they have no grounds to complain about any violence whatsoever.

The point is that the media should start engaging their brains a bit more before maiking claims such as in many headlines.

Belfast Telegraph goes on yet another bit of Unionist bashing by promoting such facetious drivel as if it is original. If you think protests simply are about a flag then you haven't been listening. The only thing which will address the issue is respect for our sovereignity as per agreements. Belfast is a sovereign part of the United Kingdom, it isn't the capital of the fking UN.

Yes, because supporting protest and freedom of speech obviously means supporting rioting...

Direct your criticism to the Pan-nationalist Alliance who intentionally manufactured an issue which they knew would provoke anger.

Those protesting have overwhelmingly not been "thugs". I can understand that may be your impression though if your source of information has been this rag or BBC NI.

I know that in the short-term. Ultimately though, speaking my mind on their prejudice and encouraging others to do will only hit them harder in the medium to long-term.

The problem is that for Republicans one moment it is a "war" where killing is expected and the next moment it isn't.

None of us here know the true details of what decisions were or were not made behind the scenes for national security, nor what Finucane was involved with, especially given that many PIRA men were also British double agents and the truth about them would therefore be protected in the name of the "process". A hell of a lot of innocent lives would have been saved if a bullet was placed through the head of every single IRA man in the country in the interests of national security, and a large number of people will agree with that. When bombs and bullets start going off and normal uninvolved people start getting blown to smithereens then there is no time for normal judiciary process as many many innocent lives are at immediate risk.

Terrorists don't care about the "rights" of the innocent they destroy (innocents who happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time, with their ultimate "right" to life removed, as bombs went off as they were out doing something offensive as shopping or being at a dog show). I, therefore, should not give a flying toss about the "rights" of terrorists in the middle of a dirty and vile terrorist campaign, as at a bare minimum Finucane did, no doubt hindering the process of the security services to protect the lives of many more innocent people.
