Stop being so afraid and speak plainly... Look around the world! Freedom is extreme! Americanism is extreme. Where else do the people hold liberty in higher regard than life? Where else does every holder of elected office swear to be in subordinate if ordered to violate the rights of common citizens? No where else in the world is there a form of government dedicated to the preservation of individual liberty. The progessive/liberal/collectivists are right. Freedom is extreme, and every red blooded American should be damn proud of it!

I sure hope they implement a solution quick. I have all but given up on this site. I still listen to the show and talk with friends and coworkers about the issues. This site is so difficult to use, however, I only check here occassionally and rarely post anymore. Why bother, the system is so FUBAR I can't carry on an intelligent conversation.

The stimulus has everything to do with it. Nothing is fixed! Fiscal stimulus is malinvestment. The negative effect on real value will be equal to the time value of total malinvestment. Think of it like a childhood cartoon, where one guy is in the front of the boat dumping water on the fish he caught. There's another guy in the back of the boat who sees the water rising and, not knowing what the guy in front is doing, he starts bailing water out. Fiscal stimulus is like giving both guys bigger buckets.

I'm with the feds on this one. Viral pandemic has only one cure, prevention. You have to take the "nuclear" approach from the word "go" or lots of people die. Such tactical necessity, created by medical technology limitations, will most certainly result in false starts.
