PLAYERESSENCE : Sony Refuses to Refund PS4 User who lost $600 from PSN hack

I don't know. On the one hand, I am certainly sympathetic. On the other hand, with all the news/rumors out there about PSN getting hacked (and on a pretty consistant basis), I have to question how naive and ignorant one has to be to put any of their information in the hands of Sony and trust them and their shitty online security.

PLAYERESSENCE : Check out this AMAZING Japanese Xenoblade Chronicles X Bundle Boxart

Nintendo is really going all out on Xenoblade X this time huh? Good. That's how it should be. NoA, you better bring this over. You know what? A Special Edition bundle of the game and an amiibo (or any figurine) of that mech and I'd be fine without a Xenoblade X Wii U bundle. I really want that mech.

PLAYERESSENCE : PE X Nintendo #75 - Tantalus' big "AAA" port hits the Wii U in 2015

I was just thinking, that whatever the title ends up being, this might be the most interest it ever gets. I've been to several different sites and guessing what it is seems to be a hot topic.

PLAYERESSENCE : Tantalus' Wii U "AAA" port will be Announced Soon, Out this year, Studio's Biggest Project yet

My thoughts? As far as the "big"/"biggest" comment goes, I guess it depends on how you choose to interpret it. It can either be big, as in its size, or big, as in the critical acclaim of a game/series. For example, recent LoZ game weren't on the size/spectacle of ME, but LoZ is a far bigger series in its storied history/succcess. Either way, there really isn't too many games that are more content heavy or noteworthy than either ME3/DE:HR. Taking into consideration that: - It's for a "top notch" Publisher. - It's a AAA title. - It's not M rated. - It's not considered "hardcore". - It's "bigger" than ME3/DE:HR. - It's more a "reworked" port like DE:HR. That leaves very little choices, but at the same time, it's still a pretty hard title to predict. There are a grip ton of M rated games that are considered "AAA"/"hardcore", but very few that are actually rated T (or below). Furthermore, there's even less games that are considered to be "bigger" than either ME3/DE:HR. The choices may be far fewer and but it's not any easier to make a guess. The problem comes from the fact that when they confirmed all of this back in Jan. 2014, they were just starting to the porting process. More so, at that particular point, every Western third party had all but abandoned the Wii U and the Japanese third party support wasn't any better. So that means the limited choices are even harder to choose from. All that thinking got me to thinking about the ports that the Wii U gotten from the third parties that Nintendo had collaborated with. Tecmo and Namco's collaborations came with some games/ports, some of them games that Nintendo would have likely never seen (NG3 and TT2) if not for the collaborations. That led me to theorizing that whatever unannounced collaborations Nintendo still have for the Wii U, it resulted in this port. If true, it's the reason why they are not giving up the name until its announcement, not because its a super awesome title, but because people would make the collaboration connection. Given all of the aversions that third parties are having with supporting the Wii U (or anything Nintendo in general) people would be wondering why that game and why now, when their support was nonexistent prior. Some would conclude that maybe it's because they're collaborating with Nintendo on an exclusive... It's a wild theory, but my mind got sidetracked and that's where my thoughts wound up.

Yeah, they're the devs behind all of the Start Ocean games. IIRC, SquEnix owns the IP, so Star Ocean games can still be made on consoles/handhelds, just (most likely) not by tri-Ace. Whether or not they'll be good as the tri-Ace made ones is another matter.

Yeah, I'm kind of a dual wielding nut. I tend to main dual wielding characters or play as one in any games that allow me to (e.g. I used Dual Blades most of the time in MH3U). The only time I don't is if I don't care for the character that is dual wielding.

PLAYERESSENCE : Xenoblade Chronicles X Supports up to 32 Players for Passive data Exchange, 4-Players for In-game Qu

Sure it was pretty obvious about the chatbox, but that's only for the members in the party and that's never mentioned here in the topic. What I'm talking about is the "passively connect" bit. That's what I was referring to about the messaging system. We don't know anything other than players can exchange information/items "passively" or in other words, "not actively". To me that means the players aren't exchanging infomation/items with each other directly. It sounds like you can leave messages/items for others to find, which could be somewhat close to what the OGS was in DS. That's why I'm saying we should hold off until we know more about what they mean with this whole "passively connect" feature they talking about.

Even if people misunderstood, edniceU is jumping to conclusions as well. There's nothing to suggest there won't be an "OGS" like messaging system. Nothing has been said about any kind of messaging system. This is just information off the Japanese eShop page.

If Nintendo were to give us Western Wii U owners a demo the same time Japan gets their full release, that would certainly ease the wait for X. Maybe even let us create our character and carry it over to the full retail title. I hope that's something Nintendo considers and does give us.

PLAYERESSENCE : Shantae and the Pirate's Curse hits Wii U on December 25th in North America

It's pretty much like Metroid as far as genre/gameplay goes. You have a central hub connected to the levels, powerups to gain/find, and the levels are all free roaming side-scrolling. There's a decent enough challenge, good controls/gameplay, and a good amount of playtime (it's roughly the same as all the 2D Metroids in my experience). I think they're good games and worth the money. The first game was simply titled Shantae and it came out for the GBC and it's on the 3DS as a GBC VC title for $5 and an then there's the sequel Shantae: Risky's Revenge for $12.

IR aiming would be preferable to me, but it shouldn't be a reason not to buy a game. Who knows, it might be an option. Other than that, if you want it, you might want to try expressing it to Itagaki on the Facebook page. You never know, with enough interest, he might add it in. But he won't know that there's interest if all people do is comment about it on sites, forums, YouTube, etc., and not directly to him.
