KCRG : USDA to see Farmers\' Tax Records | KCRG-TV9 Cedar Rapids, Iowa | Local News

It is laughable when people who have no idea about a subject claim to know everything about it then spew off. Non-farmers who decide to comment should do research, extensive research , on how much it costs in inputs for growing both crops and livestock. You have no clue on such a subject unless you have lived it for many years and lived through the cycles. When you see price of corn, beans, whatever go up, you do not see that right on the heels of those increases are the increases in our cost to grow. Seed goes up, fertilizer-up immensely, chemical - up, rent/own cost up, cost of machinery - up, repair bills - up, then price of corn beans livestock goes back down, and those prices that go up in our inputs stay up at those high prices that you "think" we are pocketing. Believe me, it looks good to you, but you do not see "the rest of the story"
