The Mexican Constitution and democracy have been an absolute failure. You cannot have an effective democracy when corruption is as high as it is over there. Felipe Calderon has his hands tied behind his back, he is limited by the Constitution and a corrupt Congress from taking bold action. How could he effectively fight this kind of enemy without a higher military budget, without the death penalty, without the support of the state governments? Hell in Mexico it is illegal for a common citizen to own a firearm, how ironic!! Perhaps it's time for the US to get involved.
