Yes, I can see the point of your comment Ivan. Maybe this is something that could be presented by our MEP's to the EU for an answer on this subject.

Well said Ruby, I think this applies to all the european nations to revise some of their history and reseach some of their people's struggle to assert themselves as the indiginous people of that land. This is something that children in school should be educated in, the history of their country, the respect of their country, and most of all, "Pride in their country".

I still cant see why in this age of advanced technology in weapons that we need to have our troops on the ground in Afganistan. We have satellites and UAV's to spy in high resolution, and we are able to use things like cruise missiles and laser guided bombs. We could pull out and monitor from a safe distance, and maybe put in the odd team now and again to confirm targets if in doubt. Our troops would be better deployed in Britain guarding our borders, thus saving lives and money, although any money saved would most likely be given away by barmy Brown to some third world country for essential things like space programs or nuclear weapons. Why is Brown looking for terrorists there when they are already here !.

Just great isn't it. Send all our money to India so they can amuse theirselves by sending rockets to the moon, while our scientists would need to have a whipround in the research establishments just to buy a box of fireworks.
I'm sure if India had asked Gordon he could have saved them the trouble of going there by telling them that the moon is made of cheese and the earth is really flat, and whats more, I bet the muppets who still vote labour would believe him.
