You were elected to fix problems, not make them worse. What person now is going to buy a GM or Chrysler product. I think by next year these car companies will be extinct like the dinosaurs of long ago.
I am also sick of the two party system. We need 9/12 if for nothing else but to keep the middle class in the middle.

Obama-you are one person campaining and another as President. Let's see you get to ride around and spend our money like no one else. What ever happened to "Lead by Example" Obama exactly what car were you driving before you became President? I doubt it was American and I doubt is was a Subcompact. That's right you need a Suburban to get around while you tell everyone else to drive a hybrid.
So now let me get this straight. We are going to make our Cars in China and import them with everything else from China. I don't think I even want an american car anymore and that is sad because up to this point all I have purchased is American Cars. Now you want me to trust our Goverment to run the car business. This is really scary stuff. For the last year everyone did not want the car companies to go in to bankruptcy and yet that is what has happened anyway except the difference is now we are on the hook for a lot more money. Toyota, Honda and Nissan must be loving this.
Buying up America is the new way of doing business. Soon we can sell the Liberty Bell and the Statue of Liberty and the Constitution while we are at it. Obama, like the Verizon commercial, CAN YOU HEAR ME(U. S.) NOW!!!!.
4400 Dealerships closed! So how did this plan differ from Bankruptcy!!! I will probably have no American Car choice by next year except for Ford. However, I don't believe Ford can survive once Chrysler and GM Close!!!!

R-E-S-A-L-E. THAT'S RIGHT, NO ONE WANTS TO SPEND 20-40,000 DOLLARS ON ANY CAR AND IN FIVE OR LESS YEARS HAVE IT REDUCED TO BASICALLY NOTHING. IF YOU NOTICE A USED TOYOTA OR HONDA HOLD THEIR VALUE LONG AFTER THE 5 YEAR LOAN PERIOD. If we compare two auto buyers the person who buys the import first can then go out in 5 years and actully afford a nicer car like a BMW or AUDI, why because he resold his car for about what he paid for it.
So if we are ever going to fix Detroit, we have to fix resale value and Glenn I am asking you to let us know who determines a car resale value, I don't mean a book either, I mean a person.
WHAT NO ONE IS TALKING ABOUT WHEN IT COMES TO THE BIG 3 AUTO MAKERS: I have done a lot of thinking over this situation and weather we want to realize it or not there is more to the story. If you talk to the average american; is it really the look of cars that makes him or her buy an import. I don't think so, our cars are as visually appealing as Toyota or Honda. So then you may ask is it the safety? No because all car makers usually pass a 5 star rating, at least that is what every commercial tells you? So again it is not safety. Well then it must the Unions, well, that is not helping things but really I think it comes down to one thing and one thing ONLY.
To SherryB: Nice comment on taxes but the thing that drives me crazy is there is no accountablility for the taxes. For example, in SC you pay a car tax every year. This must be millions of dollars for the State, yet where is all the money going? This stae does not have severe road weather, so again I ask where is the money going? It is not like you can find that on the internet...

We have our KINGS and Queens now, they are called Congress, and they get to serve us lousy food for the next 30-50 years becasue no one can vote them out of office. I totally agree there should be TERM limits, it is like my neighbor said, they all go to Washington and get a labotamoy. It is no longer a Gov't for or by or of the people. It is for the politicians, by the politicians, and of the politicians.
