Everything the feds are doing is trying to shut down the Arizona's attempt to enforce the laws on the books. The very same ones the feds are ignoring. Many of the illegals coming across the border today are tied to the drug trade. We might as well open our fences, gates and arms to them unless someone, like Arizona, gets off their ass and starts enforcing the border and the removal of illegals. Does ObUma think he will get reelected by harboring them? He seems to be the major road block keeping the feds from clamping down on them. Has this country gone insane or what? We need to keep up the fight to control the drugs and illegals off our shores. An take that Mexican flag and put it back under your bed, this America and we have our own flag. By the way, you don't like what I say, go back to Mexico or where ever you came from.
Ok, sticking my neck out again. I do not like seeing him having to get a new trial, but procedure was not followed, he was not given a lawyer when he asked and I wonder what the prosecutor said that was so inflammatory? The bottom line he has rights just as we have rights. If we trample his we trample ours as well. How many times do we need to hear of false evidence, corrupt prosecutors, paid witnesses and the rest that were used to convict and innocent person only to find the truth later, years later that they were stuck in jail. If this guy is guilty then convict him legally and do it with the truth and then throw the key away. If we don't play by the rules then the innocent will suffer as much or more than the guilty.
Geeee, Mayor McGoo is at again. Can't that dumb a** figure out he had the loosing hand when bucking the feds? He does not need to spend "tens of millions of dollars" to make things happen as the feds want. He let the force get in this position and now he needs to get it back on track. Retraining, civilian oversight, respond to allegations of abuse and quit trying to sweep them under the rug and break the "Blue Line" in the department. Seems that Mayor McGoo would rather spend millions of fighting this loosing hand rather than figure out how to comply and keep the price down yet getting the results the feds and we need to get our police back on track. This is not Detroit, this is not New Orleans, and this is not da Bronks, it is Seattle, Wa. and it should be restored to the way it used to be and not run by the mob like attitude that it now is. Harsh words? Damn right and hard actions need to be done to get this railroad back on track.
Having been a scout many years ago and following the liberalization of morals in this country and others I find their attitude to keep the Scouts gay-free a good one. I am probably get slammed for this attitude, but I don't give a damn. If the gay peoples want a scout type organization then create one. Have their gay scout masters, gay scouts and structure it towards their beliefs. It will take many years before people will be able to accept gays on a daily basis and to jam their beliefs down others throats right now will be hard to take by many.
The housing market turned into a feeding frenzy while our government rescinded the controls from banks and mortgage companies allowing them to turn into a bunch of Pit Bull dogs in a kindergarten playground. That along with appraisers that were over appraising the homes, mortgage lenders that were cooking the books and other things have turned the housing industry into a money pit with no bottom. We can thank several administrations for contributing to this mess along with greedy bankers that only thought of raking in those housing dollars. The whole industry has gone insane and needs some strict controls restored to them, controls placed on all levels of the industry and find someone that can return things to sanity for a change. My heart goes out to some of those that lost their homes, but many over bought, over paid and had no backup plan if one or both became out of work. This living on the knife edge is a dangerous way to exist
With falling ratings and poor performance of some of these shows the people that own them are having to scratch deeper to keep the money coming in. This time they don't have the King hand and are having to listen to what the re-broadcasters are saying and it is if your ratings fall so do our payments to you. Dish just tossed several channels off their lineup because they first sued Dish and then tried to jack up the rates. Dish pulled the plug. Now they are setting there with no one watching their channel now. Viacom is going to have a hard road to hoe after Dish pulled the plug on the other vendor. If they could develop something besides reality shows that are badly scripted, reruns of Star Trek and Batman people might be willing to pay a little more, but with today's line up I read a lot more. I cut the strings to the Premium channels as they were running show so old that I can watch them on regular TV at no additional cost.
I am wondering if all these negative marks are from people who can read English??? If you go to a foreign country you get very little help if you can not speak the language. People living in this country need to speak English. Don't depend on someone else speaking your language. We do not have translators stationed on every block to bail people out of trouble when they can't speak or understand the language of the country. I stand by my original assessment that if she had been able to speak English she would not be in this pickle. For those of you that think I am wrong go to Mexico and some small town and see how far you get!
Why does anyone buy something just because some Queen of Sheba or Duke of Oil puts their stupid name on it???? I avoid buying things with someone's name on it just because I can find items just as good for a lot less elsewhere. Why should I pay Martha Stewart for her using her name on something??? That is as stupid as buying a Chevy because O. J. Simpson drove one.
Seems like China is having a problem with people learning about things going on it the world outside of China. Things like independent thinking, democratic government, personal rights, and other little things like those. I wonder what they are afraid of?? Could it be they political poobahs might loose their cushy jobs or the government pot they dip out of for everything, personal and political? Gee, wouldn't that be a shame if they did????? If nothing else the computer will be the eventual downfall of Communism in China no matter what they impose or what they do.
It seems the whole problem is the parents do not speak English. I wonder why someone would go to a country and not learn the language? As and American try living with only English in Mexico. Don't think you will get very far away from a city that has English speaking people. The article says that the mother was a US citizen. So why doesn't she speak English??? People coming here should work at learning English even as a second language so they can comply with our laws, communicate with others that do not speak Spanish, and get help when they need it. By the way, my grandmother never spoke English, but the town they lived in all spoke German. As farmers they traveled very little and my grandfather did speak English.
