KOMO - Seattle, WA : City attorney, mayor at odds over DOJ negotiations | Local & Regional | Seattle News, Weather, Sport

The Academy is now 6 months, and has been for a number of years. And, back when I went through (when it was still 3 months), we got plenty of handouts and course outlines and subject material. The staff is NOT "usualy (sic) Seattle Officers". SPD has very few assigned to the CJTC. When I went through, there was only one. Typically, it was a very diverse group of Professional Officers, from a range of agencies across the state. All of the Instructors have attended and successfully completed in-depth instructor development courses. ANd, yes, teaching credentials ARE given by the CJTC. That would be the State run, highest level certifying agency in Washington... Are you even a cop, still, my voice??? Irrelevant, though, since your rant has nothing to do with the DOJ v. Seattle issues.

KOMO - Seattle, WA : \'People are finding any excuse to shoot people in South Seattle\' | Local & Regional | Seattle News

Breakdown is right. Irresponsible people, such as , and I see it all the time, single moms with multiple children by different men. Or men with multiple children by different women. Baby Daddies and Baby Mommas. People breed like rodents, and then refuse to be responsible parents. Without positive models and structure, kids are going to turn into thugs.

KOMO - Seattle, WA : 3 off-duty SPD officers involved in fight at Capitol Hill club | Local & Regional | Seattle News, We

As I read these comments, and compare many of them to the actual meager information provided in the article, I can't help notice that there is a lot of conjecture. It is very unclear as to what, exactly, the Officers did that was illegal. I see a fair amount of comments on here recounting similar incidents of unprovoked thuggery on the part of the bouncers. I'm williing to wait for the results of the investigation, as I think it goes deeper than this media witch hunt. Yes, I am a cop. Yes, I've seen incidents where bouncers have severly beaten bar patrons. I think it's a problem at many more places than Neighbors. However, as a cop, I won't deny that , even off duty, it is unwise to go out and get intoxicated in public. I subscribe to the practice of "Don't poop where you eat", meaning, keep your personal and professional lives separate. If I'm going to have a few, more than a cocktail or 2 while out, or at dinner, I stay home. It is safer. Not all of us do stupid stuff, you guys. Regardless of the media frenzy and focus, the overwhelming majority of us are reliable and professional.

Bull. What is your experience in this? Have you ever fired a burst or full auto M16 family weapon? I sure as eff have. My experience includes M16-A1, A2, and combat time on M4s and A2s. Maintain your weapon, and, even with nasty blanks, it will function. Like I said, support it with FACTS. Not what you heard on the airsoft forum. For the record, I prefer semi auto. More hits, less miss.

KOMO - Seattle, WA : Ken Schram: A rush to judgment against SPD | Seattle News, Weather, Sports, Breaking News | KOMO New

You are going to the opposite extreme with your comments. You are one of those that believe ANY LE contact with a minority is purely based on race, not behavior. Cops, to you, are ok, until they stop a person of color. Then, they are bad apple cops. Do you even know any LEOs? From your drivel, I'd say no. It's funny how adept you are at condemning an entire group of people based on the actions of a minute percentage of the group, yet, you indignantly point your finger and cry racist at whites any chance you get. Hypocrite.

"There is no nice way to arrest a potentially dangerous, combative suspect. The police are our bodyguards; our hired fists, batons and guns. We pay them to do the dirty work of protecting us. The work we're too afraid, too unskilled, or too civilized to do ourselves. We expect them to keep the bad guys out of our businesses, out of our cars, out of our houses, and out of our faces. We just don't want to see how it's done." -Charles H.
KOMO - Seattle, WA : Fremont Inn 1st in city to be labeled \'chronic nuisance property\' | Fremont News

Inaman is not a "victim" of the city. He is the enabler and motivator for all of the problems with his motels. Mr. Inman, what about the 2 "security" guys you hired that I talked to? You know, the 2 skinheads, complete with Nazi tattoos, bomber jackets, Dr. Martens with red (blood) laces (indicating they have killed or drawn blood for their "movement")? Yeah, those 2 upstanding citizens. Or the long line of "hard-working" managers, fully involved in drug and prostitution activity? Or the known prostitute girlfriend, with your name, "Dean", tattooed above her left breast? I communicate with the neighbors frequently, and I feel deeply for them. I say bulldoze the property, salt the earth, and build anything else there. SPD needs special flamethrower patrols, actually...

Sanitizing? Have you ever had to sanitize? In over 20 years of service, I have had to do it for one deployment. Do SF guys? Sure, but, they are not the big Army. Velcro blows.
Wow. That was an amazing display of violating the universal firearms safety rules. Never point the weapon at anything you are not prepared to shoot. I guess he doesn't care about his hand...
Listen to some of you. You are blaming overdose deaths on the Police. Like we went there and forced the person to use drugs to the point of ODing... Of all of the overdose incidents I have gone to, I have NEVER requested charges against the victim if I found dope. Remember, the Police DO NOT CHARGE people with crimes. We simply investigate, collect evidence, report. The PROSECUTOR's OFFICE makes the decision to file charges. Of course, it would be too much to ask that some of you hold the person that actually USED the drugs responsible for their own overdose... Sheesh.

The topic is not about what is going on in 3rd world nations, it is about what is going on in WASHINGTON STATE. I guess , by your logic, skeletor should go ahead and tax air.... The bottled water thing is not an environmental thing, it is about Gregoire taxing everything she can get her hands on. If she is going to tax water, then maybe groceries are next. Produce, meat, dairy, grain. How do you feel about that? Also, from the environmental standpoint, the 5 gal jugs I use are not throw away. They are returned and reused... Gregoire just wants to tax everything.
