Second, regarding foreclosures, this is from a report issued today -- Thursday -- from the Colorado Division of Housing: "Completed foreclosures in Colorado hit five-year low in May Foreclosure filings were up in Colorado during May, but foreclosure auction sales fell to a five-year low. According to a report released Thursday by the Colorado Division of Housing, foreclosure filings in Colorado’s metropolitan counties were up 12.8 percent last month compared to May of last year, rising from 2,002 to 2,259. Over the same period, foreclosure auction sales were down 17.3 percent, falling to the lowest May sales total recorded since 2008." This is from a reader: "The paragraph that ends 'the turbines, in clear conditions, will appear just a half-inch above the horizon' makes no sense. How far away is that half inch? Certainly not the miles away, that the turbines are located. The proper unit is half-degree, about the same angular size as the sun and the moon, which are physically larger and further away. Doing the math from the article, the angular distance is slightly less than half a degree, but half a degree is certainly close enough. The story was not about who in Longmont is hosting painting classes. It was about the first full-time, brick-and-mortar business of its kind in the city. I congratulate Elaine on her success. The Pumphouse certainly practices the "craft" of brewing beer. However, for purposes of this article and others on the subject I defer to the Brewers Association's definitions: "A 'brewpub' brews and sells beer on the premises. A brewpub may also be known as a microbrewery if production has a significant distribution beyond the premises." That said, Hero, you're correct in your statement that the Pumphouse is a brewpub, but the article wasn't about our local brewpub. (By the way, in other circumstances you have seen and will see more of the Pumphouse included in articles about beer produced in Longmont. It just didn't fit in this one.) Thanks for reading.

Good catch. This is from a story I wrote earlier this year: OnCore focuses primarily on the medical, military and aerospace industries. It's gone from being primarily a contract manufacturer into more of a one-stop shop for its customers, working with them on developing new products from the earliest design and prototype stage all the way through to the marketplace. (My apologies. The plate in my head was acting up due to the weather.)
