Wow......never realized that there were so many Meltzer haters. I don't even consider him a critic....he's like a Wrestling Historian. His website has tons of info on the history of wrestling and what do you all expect? that he gets updates directly from Vince McMahon? he doesn't. but he has plenty of sources.... lighten up people.. many people were expecting Roman and Lashley to main event. Should have been AJ and Rusev, not the Iron Man Match
Love that this article is finding so many positives; it is extremely enlightening. I normally do not comment on the site anymore (i prefer Facebook) but after reading Tito's article just minutes before yours, i was feeling very disappointed with the inconsistencies of the product (particularly the episodes over Christmas.)
However, my mood drastically changed once i read this because i think you are correct. WWE did a lot right this year and yes they could have done better/could have done more. However, what they got right was very enjoyable.
I would say out of the Big 4 , all but Summerslam delivered and all 4 felt like very huge deals, must-see, even. I am hoping for the same situation for the Royal Rumble 2018 --which i will be in attendance for all 4 events. Super pumped, especially because i think WWE owes Philly a good one for Rumble2015
so cmpunk's walkout - had no impact on the booking.....okay
maybe we will get HBK v Bryan -I'd Scream YES YES YES for that!!!!!!!!!
Nikki forgave Brie on Total Divas recently for meddling in her relationship with John Cena ...since Cena doesn't want to get married or have kids, Brie and her brother and their mom, took Cena out to lunch to discuss how much Nikki is sacrificing what she wants, to make John happy. John, agreed with them and then told Nikki they needed to take a break. Nikki was devastated and then she found out what Brie JJ and her mom did (which led to the Brie Nikki split-up during the Summer) they are cool now, because Nikki has forgiven Brie for that.
That's the best I've got --if that is not the reason that they are back together, then I have no clue why lols #totaldivas
I too was very surprised by Ambrose's loss last night - I thought for sure, he'd win that match. Having said that, Ambrose is SOOOOOOO good, I don't think these losses do THAT much damage. Is there some damage? Yes, because you can't go this long, without a predominant win. However, I Firmly believe, that both Rollins and Wyatt needed the wins Much More than Ambrose (at this time) especially with WWE throwing Rollins into the Rumble Title match (with Brock and Cena) and having such a predominant role over the last few months (perhaps the strongest heel in the company, since June) and they had to find a way, to give Bray some strength due to the unexplained Wyatt family split, and because all signs point to something huge for him at Mania. Frankly, they could put Ambrose as the curtain jerker, the midcard, or the main event at Mania, and he will still shine (a la Daniel Bryan WM29)- i understand your frustration, but I think this run with Ambrose will be a slow burn and may be worth it, in the end (fingers crossed)
I agree! It was a fantastic show, well executed from the get-go. I legit started to think DBry was going to be forced to retire and I was all choked up! With Punk gone, Seth Rollins has really stepped into the limelight and has found ways to maximize his minutes and nothing ever feels rushed with him. Not his promos, not his matches, nothing. Ironically, I feel the exact opposite of Reigns, as I am just not attached to him whatsoever and I imagine I am not alone when saying, I wouldn't be surprised One Bit, if the Philly fans boo him out of the building at the Rumble...
omg this list HAS to be a joke...how does the Bunny end up higher than Stardust? Dolph has been breaking out, what feels like, foreverrrr..but i do agree nikki bella had a good year but come on;...slatergater? really?
Has there been any reports that he did watch it?--for some reason i doubt he watches any WWE programming but he may watch ROH or NJPW bc he still has buddies there
I see no reason that this would occur....because...At the Rumble I see shenanigans leading to a Brock win who most likely faces Reigns at Mania ...and I will be in philly for the Rumble and I think the Philly crowd will be firmly behind BrRrRockkk LessSssSNar
