Philip

Thanks for your visit and your input - its so true and all important to offer value. Too many people chase the money when they should focus on delivering value which in turn will attract people and money! Thanks for your insights and speak soon,

Tom

Paul

Thanks for stopping by and your comments. Indeed it would be enlightening to see how much has actually been made from that video. Traffic is fairly untargeted so I reckon the low conversion rates that I have used are probably fairly decent estimations. I think its fairly extreme as it just so happens that it got featured on Rude Tube and added momentum. Im excited by video too and have been focusing my efforts more on You Tube and leaning video marketing so watch this space for further updates.

Tom

Vance

Great to see you over here again - hope all is well. I have tried to build my following gradually not just blindly adding people for the sake of it, you will see that I don't tweet to often either - probably not ideal but im working on my twitter activity and learning more strategies as I go. Would love to hear how you are getting on and any tips. All the best

Tom

Steve

Thanks for stopping by and adding to the discussion. Twitter is certainly an interesting one to explore. Yes there is a hell of a lot of Spam/affiliate promos on there but the traffic is immense and if you build your following properly and add value then you should be able to leverage some of the traffic. let me know how you get on and any tips. Cheers

Tom

Andy, good point well made - started to see a lot of Twitter users advertising Tweeting services on Fiverr now - apparently a good source of promotion for CB products - but as you say can often be saturated with promos. Think the key to Twitter is to treat it like you would your list (and any of your marketing activity) - balance delivering value and great content along with selected promos which will genuinely help your followers. All the best

Tom

Eamon

Thanks for your visit and comments - I agree with what you say - I've procrastinated with video to date for one reason or another but it really is easy and the key is to get going and build confidence as your experience grows. Good luck with it!!
Tom

Jacinta

Finally got round to approving and replying to all the comments. Thanks for your input, as you say video is key to whatever avenue or direction that your business takes, in my opinion its just too important to overlook given the sheer volume of traffic and the authority that Google gives to videos.
Glad you liked the review site - check out my latest post on Twitter for another killer free search resource!! Speak soon

Tom

Andreas

Thanks for your visit and your insightful comments. Agree that the traffic isn't laser targeted but then again at that level and because of the intrigue I think the creator has done very well for himself!! Indeed his list must be a massive asset now, and as long as he provides value he will be set for a long time to come.
Congratulations on your videos - thats some numbers - must check those out. Good to see an example of someone making it work for them and the $10k is a great result from free traffic!! Speak soon

Tom

Dave. Camtasia is a great program - I'm relatively new to it myself but it seems straight forward so you should be up and running in no time at all! I'm not sure if teh responses add to the comment numbers but either way its great stuff and I've met a load of great people along teh way so glad I joined.
Rick

As with everything in IM it would seem, the key is actually taking action, as something that isn't perfect which has been distributed will do better than that work in progress still on your camera/hard drive. Quite often you find that the semi-professional, or novelty, videos work better as they seem less scripted, flashy and salesy. All the best

Tom

Abizer

Thanks for stopping by, im just on the last round of my commenting (albeit slightly late!) so will no doubt speak further soon.
Video is a great strategy to add, even if its just another complement to our existing offering, as its another way of connecting with people and also a way of teaching and developing visual people.
John

GREAT point - a lot of people are unaware that YouTube and Ebay are as searched as Google and therefore they are great tools to use and markets to be in and to research and dominate. Thing about them is they can be morte targeted as Ebay traffic in the main tends to be more buyer traffic, so exactly what you want your product to be in front of!! All the best

Tom

Brandon, exactly - viral marketing is so powerful! Seems to be a degree of good luck/fortune involved but as always you have to be in it to win it and by that I mean actually put content out there..

Ed. Always good to learn new approaches to test and integrate into our efforts. Going full time is a difficult one as I do agree that you need to be seasoned (not to mention generating reasonable income to cover bills etc), however the best way of getting the experience and learning is by devoting the time to it which you can only do 100% if you're full time - a real catch-22!! Will get there in the end.... All the best, Tom
