73 images is a good-sized collection, but there's always room for... Momoa.

Like a ship blown from its mooring by a wind off the sea
Like a seed dropped by a skybird in a distant wood
Who can say if I've been changed for the better?
(I do believe I have been changed for the better)
And, because I knew you,
Because I knew you,
I have been changed for good.

EPWordsnatcher!!! You came back for the end!

It makes me happy to hear you really were Everpresent the whole time.

The whole sea lay spread out in front of him, grey and streaked with even white waves right out to the horizon. Toft turned his face into the wind and sat down to wait.

I named myself Toft because, like Toft from Moominvalley in November, I liked to imagine that I knew this wonderful family in real life, despite having actually never met any of you in person. But now I think I'm going to go to a Toast meetup for the first time on Sunday, so my story on the Toast seems to be ending the same way the series does, if you believe that Toft really did meet the Moomins at the end. Which I do.

Thanks for this; I am feeling all kinds of things now.

The grey rain-curtain of this world rolls back, and all turns to silver glass.

Hey, we just finished our trip, and your suggestions were superb!! You pretty much saved our vacation, because we didn't really know what we were doing and probably would have wandered the city aimlessly without your input. We did almost everything you listed, plus some more outdoorsy stuff because it didn't rain as much as anticipated! The Musée de la Civilisation was super interesting and it was my dad's favorite part of the trip, perhaps unsurprisingly if Dad Magazine is to be believed. Panache du Parc was delicious and beautiful. The panini I had there ranks among my favorite sandwiches of all time. We got a bunch of great pictures in Petit Champlain looking up at the Château Frontenac. We weren't actually on the Plains of Abraham yesterday since it would have been hard to drive into the Old City with all the crowds of people trying to do the same, but we actually got to hear them practice the show a few days before while they were still setting everything up, and we watched the real show live on tv from our hotel. Everyone was so friendly, and forgiving of our feeble attempts to speak French! It was an excellent, excellent vacation. Thanks again, and Bonne Fête Nationale!

Hey RoseCamelia, in case I miss the chance during the craziness of the actual final open thread next week, I wanna say thanks now for all the advice and words of hope and encouragement you've given people here in the open thread. I think I can speak for a lot of Toasties when I say that I've benefited secondhand from your responses to other people's O.T. posts more times than I can count. Your levelheaded way of looking at the world makes everything, even really nasty things, more bearable and manageable. And your above response is a prime example of that. So... thanks!
