I think I know a couple of the companies you are talking about. I feel like there's another thing that happens to startup founders and that's where they grind and grind on the brink of failure but can succeed on the slow and steady path. This type of company is in a really awkward place in startup culture where you just aren't considered a success unless you are a success fast.
