I'm sure you can skip the glaze, but it's one of the things that makes the cake so fantastic. If nothing else, you should make the glaze and taste it to see what you think. Oh, you just reminded me to add something to the post...

BTW, is it acceptable to hold the bottle between one's legs while wrenching the cork loose? Not that I've ever done that, I was just wondering...

No. No. No. No. This is something any film school student could do. Sorry. The guy can shoot, so what? There is not really anything new or original about this.

As for the dog, do they actually pee when they are balls-deep in snow? That seems highly uncomfortable at best.

Ugh, I got the lecture-while-hungover treatment in high school and I have to say, it did work (at least for awhile). As did the huuuuge guilt trip put on me after my best friend got caught with pot that belonged to the both of us. That was worse than any punishment. And then I went to college and all bets were off.
