A blog about nothing and everything. : Addressing the Tim Tebow Post, part 1 of 3

Oh wait, so I get it now...Jump and Norm...you are the SAME person. Hmm, same IP address, same fear of using your real name to post your opinion. How spineless you are. Really...create a second fake account to reaffirm what you said in your first post? What a very mature thing to do. I am sorry I wasted my time replying to both comments. Should have noticed the misspells and bad grammar in both comments a common theme. Enjoy your day. When you are ready to stop posting behind fake accounts, an give your opinions as YOU rather than on the accounts you created to reaffirm each other...you let me know :-)

Jump, I never did claim to play college football, however I did spend 9 years of my life playing the game. So yeah, I do have some background with it. No one is raging other than you. You seem to be really upset for some reason. Sorry that my blog post about Tebow offended you and the "bromance" you may have for him. Take the time to read the other posts on this page, without your "emotion" clouding your judgment and you will see that I don't think Tebow is a bad guy, I just don't think he will be a QB on the next level...and that is okay. Hell, read this comment thread and you would have seen that. When you post a comment on a page, you really should read ALL sides before acting in an overly emotional way. That shows insecurity.

Jump & Norm...if you are going to attempt to correct something I write...make sure you yourself, have the proper definition of the word... SO, perhaps a lesson in grammar is needed: Disdain:a feeling of contempt for someone or something regarded as unworthy or inferior Distain:Middle English disteynen, from Anglo-French desteindre to take away the color of, from de- + teindre to dye, from Latin tingere to wet, dye So no, I am not "taking color" away from Tebow, I am saying that MY OPINION is that he will not make it in the NFL as a QB.

Norm, first an foremost, thanks for the read. As you can tell, this is an old article, as this is far from breaking news anymore, and I am sure you read that the story was posted on September 28th. As a well educated commenter, and blog reader, I am also sure you took the time to read the prior post to this one, as well as the part two follow up. My opinion on Tebow? Yeah, he is a good guy. He has no doubt set records are Florida, and will go down as one of the top quarterbacks to ever play the college game. No one can take that away from him. However, look at the history of Gators superstars that flop in the NFL..Danny Wuerffel, Reidel Anthony, Jacquez Green, Elijiah Williams, Terry Jackson, Chad Jackson, Chris Leak, Chris Doering...all great in blue and orange...but what did they ever do at the next level? UF has a history of having GREAT college football players, but marginal pros at best. Hopefully, this changes with the Urban Meyer era...but looking at the overall history of the program, it would lead one to believe that Tebow would flop like the rest. I personally, hope he doesnt. I think he is a great role model for children, and we sure do know the NFL needs that...I just don't know if he will do it as a QB...maybe a safety or tight end.

you will love the Wii. Games are easy to play and addicting. Check out Boom Blox...Steven Spielberg actually developed the idea for it. Very fun. The Super Mario World that just came out is a blast...IF you have people to play with. Which I am sure you will with your magnetic personality. ;-)

Giving the NFL rights back to 2k Sports is a horrible idea. The Madden series from EA is iconic. Yes, some of the things you have to pay for...are a bit ridiculous. I for one would never pay for "Franchise Accelerators" or anything of the sort, but if the ability to download rosters and teams from say the CFL or USFL days, I would do that, in a heartbeat, and yeah, I would pay $10 or more for something like that. Way better than paying the full price for a game. The money is in content these days...

I could see Remember the Titans as the best football movie ever, toss up for me. Depends on if you wanna see the pure side off football, or the true to life side (unfortunately) Either way, Denzel or Pacino, FTW.

Yes. B.A. you are right, the child can't drive his ass to the Wal-Mart and put it on his Discover...but why put it out there for the kid to see anyway? Why not market educational toys that are fun, so the child can grow up to be smart and then make the decision to buy an actual tattoo?

Ben, First and foremost, thanks for posting a comment that sparked so much interest on this page. I think you may have misinterpreted what I said about tattoos in today's society.... Personally, I have no issues with them, but unfortunately, I do not represent society as a whole. We live in a very straight laced place, where in a lot of cases, corporate America does not support such forms of expression in the work place. This is something that hopefully in the near future, changes. To me, I view the tattoo as a great way use your body as a canvas to express your thoughts or feelings. I view tattoo artists as gifted individuals. I would be a hypocrite if I said I was dead set against tattoos. I have a tattoo. I plan on getting a few more before it is all said and done BUT I am 25 years old. However, as I said in the article, the decision to get a tattoo is an adult decision to be made. As is smoking cigarettes, or drinking alcohol. While the ramifications may be different in each case, the point still remains that the decision is to be made by an adult. So, if you would not market alcohol or cigarettes to a child...why would you market another adult decision to a child...tattoos?
