I agree with you also the show is no longer what it used to be without Doggie being there and the back and forth they used to have It was great radio. That being said I fall in the small percentage that knows Mike likes to push buttons all great radio people do. The fact he is a Yankee fan is of no concern because if he was a Mets fan he'd be considered a Homer instead. I choose to listen to Mike and have always judged him on a case by case basis and his opinion bout breakin up da core was something many Mets fans also wanted His Church fiasco Is a he said she said we will never know if church said it or not. He has praised Citi Fields He has praised Santana He has praised Beltran He has praised Jerry He acknowledges Murphy as a stand up guy just wants to see him play more before he starts saying he is special by the way is what I am doing also. He tongue-in-cheeks has fun with Murphy calling him THE GOLDEN CHILD due to all the praise he has been getting from the Mets organization and many fans. (which can be irritating to those that hate him i am sure). In the end its Sports Talk Radio not CNN World News

It is good to see Mike still has a strong following considering how well people are informed about his interviews despite their personal dislike for him. The idea is if you dislike someone you are supposed to not listen to him/her not the other way around. I mean this blog never misses an opportunity to call him out. On the contrary what it seems to be doing is promote his show. Anyway Mike is a part of NY Sports Talk like The Mets are a part of Queens. NY will always be their home.

Ollie when he was on last year his fastball was around 92-92 topping out at 94mph. I think if you find his start last year vs Yanks on June 29 2008 a Sunday I believe. You will see what I mean plus find Jerry's postgame from that game.

A Few Notes From Mr North Jersey If you look at everything by itself other than Pelfrey's last 2 starts (which does worry me) they are not signs of immediate concern like, The 2 outfield mishaps the balks Reyes playing Fungo with 1st basemen Castillo's slow start Feliciano pitching to righties Wright's high strike out totals All of these are items that will eventually fix themselves. What does concern me is the Mets inability to scratch out wins in spite of these mental lapses. You know that never say die attitude wining teams display regardless of the amount of times they get behind. I mean Wright's 3 run bomb is what I mean by "never say die attitude" but it has to be a team thing one man can't carry the load. So far I have seen little of this. Ollie's start will be very interesting to watch and see if his fastball can find its velocity and get back up in the low 90's again. PS - Did it only bother me not to see the pitch speed last night? Oh and who bougfht that cat to the game last night? I mean really, at least get the color right. =)

I just wanted to wish my Mets good luck 2nite. I have not been able to post since Saturday it seems I been accidentally banned under my old alias of Mr_North_Jersey and M@TT hasn't figured out how to un-ban me yet. Even now Ive had to hide my ip just to post this. To Dirty,Brock,TRS, Ive enjoyed reading your comments and miss not being able to interact. =( Now b4 i go let me get a few items off my chest. 1.) All those that kill Murphy for making a fielding mistake you should be ashamed. 2.) It's Opening Night support your team and cheer them on. Tonight if someone near you boos you cheer twice as hard. 3.) If you hate intense debate (I do) email M@TT and let him know. Maybe he will see the light 4.) If you are at game I expect you to have a sore throat from screaming Lets Go Mets all night long 5.)L-E-T-S G-O- M-E-T-S L-E-T-S G-O- M-E-T-S L-E-T-S G-O- M-E-T-S!!!
