The more embarrassment the better. I feel bad for the kids but they just suck as well. As in, I'd be embarrassed if that was my own kid and I wouldn't tell anyone he played college football. Thats how bad they are. All that aside, you get what you pay for. Embree is a joke. I bet Hawkins is having a nice laugh somewhere right now.

Of course he needs experience. Maybe (hopefully!) he will go on to a wonderful collegiate career. My point is that we're so low on talent that he actually finds himself playing now. That's not good. And how am I throwing everyone under the bus? Did the buffs look slow to you? Did they make stupid and numerous penalties? Did they have poor QB play? Come on man. We've all read this script before and we all know how it ends.

Slow, unathletic players? Check. Dumb, undisciplined penalties? Check. D-3 quality QB? Check Unable to stop a 3rd down? Check Wake me in 2013 when we have a real QB and some speed. Parker Orms? Are you kidding me? Spin it however you want, these guys weren't ready to play and even if they were, they don't have the athletes to compete. Simple as that and if you think otherwise you are only fooling yourself.

Not only am I rooting for CU lose, I am rooting for them to get embarassed. I feel (sort of) bad for the players, but they are just collateral damage here. Bohn and Hawk deserve nothing less than to be utterly and completely humilated in national tv. And to the gutless, spineless administrators: if you dont care about athletics, thats fine. If you want CU to be perceived as anything other than a glorofied party school than my advice is for you to work very hard to get yourself out of a tie for 34th when it comes to the best public universities in America. Right now you suck at both.

This whole process just illustrates how we are nothing more than a junior varsity program: a JV coach, a JV AD and JV quality players. The only thing more pathetic than the leadership at CU are the posters on here who blindly support perhaps the worst coach in all of D1. If CU honestly gave two you-know-whats about the product on the field Hawkins would have been locked out of his office weeks ago. I am completely, unabashedly ashamed of my alma mater. CU is a punchline, nothing more. Since graduating in 1996 I have donated to the AD every single year, sometimes as much as $5000. I swear to god I would sooner contribute to Lou Dobbs' election campaign or a "Nuke the Whales" fund before writing CU a check. You reap what you sow. Good luck.

The decision to retain Hawk just reinforces the fact that D1 athletics is nothing more than a "nice to have" for this administration. Whats even more depressing is that they are under the impression that CU is some sort of bastion of higher learning. For certain departments it most certainly is. For the liberal arts school, it most certianly isn't. Tell anyone outside of the state of Colorado that you went to CU and their first reaction is a mischevious smile. At least we used to have athletics to fall back on. Sadly, that isnt the case anymore because our football team is nothing more than a punchline to a joke that and will continue to be one as long as this clown is in charge. Sad, sad day for CU alum. And FWIW, I am a REAL donor who has given CU as much as $5000 (admittedly that was a few years ago;$1000 last year which was commensurate with my income, sadly). They can no longer count on me. My check this year is going to where I got my MBA...

Nick- RUN, don't walk from CU. I am sorry that you turned down a chance to play for a real program and coach at Florida.
