*SPOILERS AHEAD*

Best episode in the season, no doubt, probably even in my Top 5 favourites of all the seasons.

– Cheese Sandwich is incredible. In all respects. His design is fantastic, his character is fantastic, his backstory is fantastic, his songs are fantastic, his antics are fantastic, and his voice is, you’ve guessed it, fan-tas-tic. I mean, you can’t go wrong with Weird Al.

– The songs were catchy, fun, and full of pure, undiluted joy. There were a lot of them, but they didn’t feel forced or unneeded as they did in MMC.

– Pinkie’s moment of sadness felt completely justified, since Pinkie is known for having some crazy mood swings.

– The jokes were hilarious. MLP can be kinda funny sometimes, but I’ve never watched the show because it was exceptionally funny. This episode though, was an absolute riot. Almost every joke hit home, and they hit hard. That Gummy moment… My God, I almost cried.

– The moral was extremely simple, but still pretty good. Pinkie dealing with envy and not losing her focus on making Rainbow Dash happy was something that seemed very in-character for Pinkie, and I approve greatly of that.

– Alright, whoever story-boarded the scene in which Pinkie challenges Cheese Sandwich to the Goof-Off deserves a trophy for "Best Facial Expressions Ever". Please, someone tell me who drew that.

All in all, a 9/10. Amazing voice work, amazing premise, amazing animation, amazing songs, amazing everything.

I just watched the episode.

OR maybe I have an opinion that you don't have to share.

Look, just try to understand that you don't have to get me to like Flash Sentry. I get what you're saying, I really am. But I simply did not like the cameo.
Case and point.

I dislike Flash Sentry because:
- He serves no purpose. Literally none. He is simply there to push the high school romance cliché, which is forgotten immediately after it is introduced.
- He fulfills the "high school dreamy boy" cliché perfectly, but that's exactly what makes him so god damn insufferably boring. We have seen the same character a million other times, in a million other movies.
And considering that he will most likely not appear anywhere outside the stereotypical high school setting that is Equestria Girls, I have no hope in him developing into anything either.

And that's your opinion. And guess what? I don't care.

- Cadance is boring. An animated show is supposed to be entertainment.
Being boring is the worst thing that can happen to anything in the entertainment business.

- I hate Flash Sentry with a passion. If you like him, that's fine. But if his presence annoys me, it annoys me. No point in arguing.

- Yes, Pinkie can get "excited over anything". But, quite frankly, she was even more ADD-like than usual, what with the balloons and such. It's kinda annoying that each character is interpreted differently by each writer.

That's a good argument.
I especially liked the point you made about why you liked the episode, instead of simply telling me that my opinion sucked (which is totally possible, by the way).

It was alright, I liked the moral, even if they could have put a little more focus on it.

– Discord is an enjoyably disgusting character, and I love that they keep having him in there as the jerk who knows exactly that he’s being a jerk. Quite frankly, he carries the entire episode, and without his sass the episode would fall apart into a boring mess.

– Cadence is boring, has always been boring and will most likely continue to be boring to the end of time itself. Her character numbs the mind and makes my eyelids heavy.

– We better get to see those god damn Breezies.

– The mere presence of Flash Sentry made me want to hurt something. He was unfitting, and reminded me of pestilent things.

– Applejack and Rarity’s dialogue with Discord was surprisingly simple, yet entertaining.

– Pinkie going crazy-happy over used patio furniture seemed… Really off and out of character. Oh well.

– The design on that worm-monster-thing (I know it's called Tatzlwurm, but I refuse to call it that, it is by far not as cool as an actual Tatzlwurm) was terrible. Honest to God, terrible. It looks like something explicit mixed other explicit things.

On the whole, an episode with many flaws and most definitely a guilty pleasure, simply because Discord is a character I cannot get enough of.

*PANG*

Oh dear. I believe my heart just exploded due to the adorableness and I am rapidly dying from internal bleeding. And now my leg has fallen off from the diabetes. Please excuse me.

Now, let's see what I want...

5.: Now that they've established "Alicorn-Princess-Twilight", I wanna see her position and her duties explained IN DETAIL.
4.: Less focus on "fun little adventures with ponies" and more on "moral teaching and friendship lessons with ponies".
3.: More CMC character development. (Cutie Marks? Please?)
2.: CELESTIA AND LUNA BACKSTORY. COME ON.
1.: Thoroughly evil villains. Not just evil-looking villains, like Chrysalis or Sombra, but ACTUALLY PSYCHOLOGICALLY EVIL villains, like Discord. That guy was diabolical (before he got reformed so randomly).
