Since I don’t want to embarrass myself by assuming that you have the mental aptitude to count beyond the number 24, I will tell you that I listed 29 movies...that’s more than you requested. I thought it best to go above and beyond, in case reasonable minds (a category of which you’re excluded) would differ on the extent of the anti-American, anti-military, anti-soldier sentiment of some of the movies I listed. Once I started thinking of a few films they all started pouring in, similar to the rush of air that probably fills the empty space between your ears when your jaw drops at the sight of your beloved man-crush, Barack Obama. So listen up little man: The next time you decide to post on a website, stick to the mental sandbox that is known as the HuffingtonPost, because this website is where the big boys and girls play. As Conservative lovers of film, art and media, we quickly get bored of performing the equivalent of intellectual-potty-training sessions for all of you street-defecating occupiers.
@ Tom Block - I bet you were hoping your request for 24 films that treat “American soldiers as mercenaries, thugs or much, much worse” would go unanswered. I just saw your asinine posts a couple minutes ago and figured I would make a very quick list of just SOME of the movies that fit the above-mentioned criteria... Apocalypse Now Jacobs Ladder Full Metal Jacket Dr. Strangelove The English Patient Taxi Driver Brothers The Crazies The Kingdom Three Kings Stop Loss Avatar Born On The Fourth Of July Platoon In The Valley Of Elah The Execution of Private Slovik Green Zone Letters from Iwo Jima All Quiet On The Western Front Mash Jarhead Valley of the Wolves: Iraq Super 8 Rendition The Deer Hunter The Road to Guantánamo Starship Troopers Redacted Close Encounters Of The Third Kind
