You believe whatever MSNBC tells you to. You all sound the same and have no original thoughts. The country was founded with the Constitution, separation of powers and all that. Your guy Obama, the supposed Consittutioal scholar seems to need some review in Constitution 101: judicial review, SCOTUS and all that. " black people would still be slaves. " More B.S. It was a Republican president that ended slavery. It was Republicans in Congress that pushed through civil rights legislation in the 1960s, and Dems that opposed it. It was a former KKK Grand Wizard that was a Dem leader in the Senate for decades. You are truly an ignorant idiot.

"Bushs conservatism almost brought us into a great depression" The tired old mantra. Repeating it a million times doesn't make it so. Ever heard of CRA? FNM? The Fed? Bush definitely deserves a share of blame. But it was progs that laid the foundation for the 2008 meltdown. Those same progs were then rewarded for those misdeeds by American voters winning all three branches of the federal government in 2008. And look what they did with that. Rammed through devastaing financial legislation like Dodd-Frank (shepherds of FNM, FRE). Unconstitutional ObamaCare. Trillions more debt dispensed to Solyndra, GSA and other cronies. Fed monetazation of said debt causing inflation. Economy-choking regulation. Cutbacks in energy production doubling gas prices. Iran approaching a nuke. Occupy, increased racial divisions, Etc., etc. Yes, most definitely, Obama is ruining this country! Who would've guessed that someone who taught Bell and Alinsky, launched his career in the home of domestic terrorist, spent twenty years in the pews of a racist socialist might be dangerous for the country? Actually, anyone would've guessed, which is probably why our LSM did such a bang-up job hiding those facts from most voters.

Read my reply above. So murder is murder. Is Bales exactly the same as Jeffrey Dahmer, not a single difference to consider? Your simplistic view of this assures that nothing will be learned from either case. It is also simplistic of you to equate acknowledgment of radical Islamists with hatred of Muslims. You should try visiting certain Eastern countries perhaps, and see if you feel the same as they saw your head off and put it on YouTube.

You're trying to equate Bales and Hasan. They both committed murder, so they're just the same you say, no distinction you say? That's a ridiculous statement on its face. One guy snapped after extended service in horrible conditions. The other had radical religious motivations, never served in combat, and announced his intentions long before. Utterly avoidable. To say they are "just the same' is to deny the half-assed way our troops have been used. It denies the PTSD that results. And it denies the blinders people put on about the threat and warning signs of radical Islam. In short, it willfully ignores the obvious lessons that should be taken from each incident, which therefore insures each will happen again. That's the point.

The Department of Defense amazingly characterized the Hasan massacre as workplace violence. Hassan as most know, was the guy who talked and wrote about killing infidels beforehand, then jumped on a table shouting Allah Akubar and started shooting people. No Islamic radicalism here, just workplace violence we were told. How PC. Did Hasan serve four tours in combat environment? (No) Injured multiple times? (No) Close friend injured in front of him the day before? (No) Drunk (No) Did Bales announce his intentions months before hand? (No). Did Bales have radical religious motivations? (No) You're really saying Hassan is just the same as SSgt. Bales?

As I understand it, different kinds of psychological collapse in combat situations occurs in all wars. One study found that eighty percent of those that experience psychological collapse occurs where there are severe problems at home such as financial problems, plus near death experience in combat of a close friend. Bales sure fits that profile, and that's doesn't even factor in the four deployments or his own multiple injuries or the unique stresses of modern urban warfare. And an unappreciative, apathetic public can't help.

I'm with you. SSgt. Bales must be punished for a heinous crime. But he hit his breaking point while pushed to the limit in service of his country. It is sad to see so many people eager to throw him under the bus as we sit safe and comfortable in our easy chairs at home.

What he did was absolutely wrong, unforgivable and and without excuse. But let's consider how such a thing can come about. Regardless of what you think of the merits or justifications of these wars, if you require human beings to separate from their families for years and years of serial deployments, for little pay, and often an apathetic public, to do the equivalent of walking into a buzz saw day in and day out at great risk to ones' friends and one's self...it is not sustainable, and for some less so than others.

No justification is correct. It is undeniable, and I'll bet our soldiers would be the first to agree. All that said, I'll wager that many or most people here that take easily that position have little or no idea what it is our soldiers have to deal with. And what they have to deal with is way beyond what many can imagine.

KOMO - Seattle, WA : Local woman to share foreclosure horrors with D.C. officials | Local & Regional | Seattle News, Weat

Prices skyrocketed, and buyers were tripping over each other to bid them even higher. There was one big warning sign. And the skyrocketing prices were explained by something other than basic supply and demand. Washington pushed lenders to make risky loans. Congress engineered FNM and FRE to enable the risky lending, and got campaign contributions and sweet financial deals in return. The Fed pushed interest rates abnormally low and held them there for a long time. All this Washington meddling stoked greedy behavior on Wall Street, in mortgage originators and of course in individual buyers. The same type of bubble behavior was experienced only a few years earlier during the tech stock debacle. Apparently few learned any lessons from the first bubble. Sorry to hear of your severe troubles. Unfortunately, you have lots of company. The widespread, severe and lasting pain is precisely why bubbles are to be avoided in the first place. It is Washington that produced the bubble(s), then compounded them by their reaction. The best thing Washington can do at this point is to stop digging the hole any deeper. More bailouts will ease pain in the short term. The tradeoff is it pretty much guarantees the problems will never go away.
