First, the U.S. dollar is going to continue to decline. Partly because Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke knows we need a weaker dollar to help get us out of the mess we're in. And partly because China — despite all the complaining that you're hearing from them about the sinking dollar — also wants a cheaper dollar.
China needs a cheaper yuan just like the U.S. needs a cheaper dollar. With a cheaper currency, China can avoid deflation... spark inflation... and boost its exports.
So, China is actually going to put a lot of pressure on its currency in the months ahead, by selling yuan and buying natural resources (like gold and oil).
Since China's currency is tightly pegged to the U.S. dollar, both are going to fall in value against other currencies, namely the euro.
This way, China and the U.S. get what they want: Cheaper currencies.
Meanwhile, both countries' exports to the Euro region and other areas, like Canada and South America, get a huge boost (of course with cheap dollars).

I predict within two year's time — we will see the euro break up. Not because it's too weak, but because it's become too strong vis-a-vis the dollar and the yuan.
In short, the Euro region will get stuck with massive deflation as the U.S. and China try to inflate their way out of the global financial crisis, together.
Somewhere along the way, also within two to three years from now, China, the U.S. and Europe will get together under a new G-20 series of meetings, and a new, single world currency will be born.
Like it or not, it's coming. First, the dollar's reserve status must come under question. And as you've seen in the markets and the press recently, that process has already begun.

Liberals always say the best things about themselves.... "...as simple as a democrat..." How profound. That must have taken the logic of your entire team to come up with that jewel. Well said bengleck team!

Do you mean that it is possible to have a more tyrannical government that what we have now…?
Does that mean that the Revolutionary War was fought in vain…?
Does that mean that the Civil War was fought in vain…?
That Dr. Martin Luther King shed his blood in vain…?
There will always be a cost to freedom, and more often than not that cost will be the blood of men opposing freedom and those that will eventually prevail against those who would suppress our freedom!
There is no free lunch, and there will never be freedom without costs…!

Obviously, you have nothing constructive to offer, only that which is of little value to a discussion about improving or fixing a broken system of government. That qualifies you as a flaming liberal.
You are too ignorant to know how much and how often Glenn Beck chastised the Bush Administration for the missteps and actions taken that were contrary to the US Constitution and inappropriate to we the people.
Rather than bash Glenn, or Bush, or Clinton, or Carter, how about constructive comments on how to fix what several presidents, congressman and congresswomen have foisted upon the United States that might turn those things around and unite us (before it is too damn late)?
How about very short term limits without pay…?
