The Tea Party Economist : 73% Loss on Bitcoins

Bitcoins are as real as US Dollars. Whether they are any more or less volatile than any given fiat currency is for the buyer to judge. I am rather surprised to read Gary North stating that "Dollars are money." If North chooses to define US Dollars as fiat money maybe the statement is not quite wrong. Neither can I swallow such a sentence without the needful modifier of fiat. Caveat emptor folks. That will always be good advice.

WordPress blog at damnstraightpolitics.com : The False Narrative of Immigration Reform

Immigrating to the US is neither easy nor cheap. I know of one Canadian that spend $10,000 to complete her immigration here. Other countries may have more difficult and more expensive systems to those established by US lawmakers. Difficulty doesn't necessarily mean better. I would hope that like many things that are made in America that it might be made better, faster and cheaper than items made overseas but perhaps the overhead of Obamacare precludes that from happening.

Center for a Stateless Society : How to Reach the Left - Roderick T. Long

Mr. Long seems like a nice and friendly chap but I found his video a bit of a drag after 9 minutes. After 12 minutes and 4 seconds (the half way mark) I pressed the stop button.

Right Condition : America and the 2012 elections, what did the elections tell us? Winners and losers.

Here in Arizona there were four choices for President on the ballot (plus 6 write-in choices). Three advocates of big government to a greater or greater degree. One advocate of a 43% reduction in spending. Did Americans get a real choice? I rather believe that they did. Based on your closing sentences I would begin to worry. I have this feeling that the future is so bright I should start wearing shades.

I enjoyed reading “Election 2012: The Banality of Hyperbole”. I hope that this article catches the eye of many other Americans.

Right Condition : Politics, the fringe and FaceBook.

I have a hard time wondering what it is that the WTC skeptics want to accomplish. BTW, I am far too old to read the FB thread you posted. It seems to me that Joe either doesn't want to accept fault for putting out a bad JFK quote or is too invested in the idea that there is an evil conspiracy behind the banking cabal (or the WTC building collapse). I always tell people that relative to WTC that there are several possibilities, one: the official story was true, two: the government was in on it, three: the government either looked the other way while some party did evil deeds, four: some combination of possibility two and three. I have a hard time believing that any of the four possibilities are provable at this date but I usually further ask, if you were to convince me that possibility 2, 3 or 4 was correct, then what? Oddly I have few people that have a desire to pursue "then what?"
