Glenn Beck - The 912 Project : 5/13/09: Even The DEMS Want To Know What Pelosi Knew... And WHEN!

This is actually frightening stuff. Nevermind the credibility gap, or the exhibition of just what We the People get with career politicians... We are watching the opening salvos in open war between the Speaker of the House and the CIA. We cannot afford for this war to become a quagmire. The winner needs to be declared, and right quick! Nancy Pelosi has put all of us in danger. She should be removed from office immediately. Any records in the possession of ANY government agency or office pertaining to what she was briefed on and when need to be declassified and released so We the People can examine and scrutinize them. Someone is lying, and whoever that is cannot be trusted to uphold the oath of office they took. We the People deserve to know who that is.

Glenn Beck - The 912 Project : 5/10/09: More Evidence That Pelosi and Her People KNEW

First; what could possibly show how effed-up liberal politicians are more effectively than the juxtaposition of Pelosi's promises of accountability, ethics, and transparency with her demonstrated LIES on the issue of "torture"? Second; The Dems will certainly NOT throw her under the bus. They'll ignore the "right-wing" attacks on her and the "gotcha politics" we're playing by pointing out that she is, IN FACT, a liar. She will not face a serious challenge for re-election, her constituents will vote her back in, and unless the Republicans take back the House in 2010 (which may or may not be possible), she'll keep her position of Speaker of the House. Liberal Democrats don't see other Liberal Democrat's lies as lies or dishonesty; they see them as a valid "means" to their ideologically motivated "ends." Conversely, if a Republican can't remember the exact phrases and terms used in telephone conversations years after the fact, Liberal Democrats want prison time (see Scooter Libby). See, cuz Republicans lie, even when they don't, and their "lies" are always evil in nature. Didn't ya know?

Glenn Beck - The 912 Project : 5/7/09: Home Schooled Child Is Held Under The Patriot Act...

I would tend to agree with you, with the exception of the comment that the FBI has a habit of overkill. The PATRIOT Act was designed to give law enforcement tools to protect the citizenry. IF a 16-year-old fell victim to his own prank, it's not the PATRIOT Act who bears the blame. IF a 16-year-old was used as a proxy by someone who hacked his computer and hijacked his IP, then that will come out. Unfortunately, the FBI doesn't have the luxury of distinguishing before investigating or acting between real and prank threats. All threats have to be taken seriously. Some will require immediate action. The only part that troubles me is the gag order... I would prefer some transparency, but I guess since we're talking about a minor that is within the purview of his discretion. On the other hand, his mother has contributed to the waiving of his privacy rights, so maybe that alone is justification for lifting the gag order? She wanted the public to know, so maybe we have a right to... I'm also a little skeptical because the mother mentioned limited contact with her son since his arrest... That tells me nothing. Anyone in custody is going to have his/her contact with the outside world restricted by policies like, oh I don't know... visiting hours! It will be interesting to see how this situation plays out, but it hasn't shaken my confidence in the PATRIOT Act--yet.

Glenn Beck - The 912 Project : White House Signals Flexibility on Climate Bill

A rudimentary understanding of planetary evolution, geological records, and complex relationships between the Earth's elliptical orbital plane, axial tilt, and eccentricity will also help understand how "climate change" is almost certainly not anthropogenic. Whether the Earth is headed for another ice age or the opposite, there isn't much we can do about it without the law of unintended consequences adversely impacting everything else, including worldwide economies. While I agree with you that AGW, or "Climate Change," is a lie; I think it's more important to expose the motive behind the lie: Control. This, and trans-fats bans, gun control, and a whole host of other liberal fantasies are all about totalitarianism. Beck calls it "smiley faced fascism" and he's right. They've learned to use fear and shame to coerce the masses into willingly surrendering liberty. We may not all be scientists, but we can all make efforts to understand the debates and their different sides. It is our duty to do so, despite liberals attempts to silence divergent viewpoints through mechanisms of socialization.

Glenn is absolutely right: this is terrorism. Who thinks it's a coincidence that they decided to target an American vessel NOW? How many here have confidence in the resolve of President Obama to confront this threat as it's severity requires?

We don't need to start at 100% "pay to play," because once the ball is rolling, we can work our way there... How special. Kinda like, "We don't need to start at 100% socialism, because once you create a dependent class and pit it against the "rich," we can work our way there." This is absolutely disgusting.

Glenn Beck - The 912 Project : Despite More Layoffs, Stocks Surge Again ...

I don’t think we should assume ANYTHING. It could be a bear market rally. It could signal stabilization. The thing that troubles me is that none of our problems have been resolved. The housing market isn’t being allowed to find a natural equilibrium. We’re still losing jobs by the hundreds of thousands. The “toxic” assets are still on the banks books. And, we’re printing money like it’s the thing to do while we spend money we still don’t have. OH, and now we’re chipping away at individual liberties and eroding our sovereignty. These things do not indicate recovery, in my mind.

Glenn Beck - The 912 Project : What is the Treasury Secretary doing? TARP Watchdog says ...

Did you notice in the comments that the "Yes we can" crowd is still blaming Bush? "DOD weapons systems were over budget last year, so Obama CAN'T possibly open the books for TARP to live up to his transparent government rhetoric!!!!" Unbelievable... They keep saying that he "inherited" these problems. Didn't he APPLY for the job? Didn't he choose to take on the responsibility of "fixing" our Country? I think he did... so why is he whining about how hard it is? And why are his followers not expecting, nay--demanding, that he make good on his promises? I guess they thought all would be righted just by virtue of his taking office... More evidence that the average Obama follower lives somewhere other than reality? And if TARP is, as the comment says, the Republican's legacy... how exactly do they reconcile Republican ownership with the fact that it was passed by a Democratic Congress and extended under their continued leadership and with the blessings of a Democratic President? Bush's plan (not that I liked it) was three pages long, and it came to his desk from the Democratic Congress more than a hundred times that. Who's legacy is TARP? Do these people have functioning brains?

I have long thought that Biden was chosen as VP as an added layer of security for the then, ‘hopeful,’ President to be.
Glenn Beck - The 912 Project : GM CEO Steps Down, White House Backs Bankrupcy and Buyers Incentives

And here we are… at the cliff’s edge, so to speak. Gietner wants the authority to seize control of any business that could “threaten” the economy (and doesn’t see anything radical about that); Obama is making personnel decisions at publicly traded companies; we have a promise from Congressional Dems to do away with secret ballots for the purpose of increasing the size and clout of Unions (freedom limiting organizations, generally speaking); a government vilifying private citizens; and millions of “followers” who see nothing wrong with any of this… It’s incredible. I read something awhile back, and the words have been ringing loudly in my ears for the last few weeks: “How came the king by a power which the people are afraid to trust, and always obliged to check? Such a power could not be the gift of a wise people, neither can any power, which needs checking, be from God; yet the provision, which the constitution makes, supposes such a power to exist. “But the provision is unequal to the task; the means either cannot or will not accomplish the end, and the whole affair is a felo de se [suicide]; for as the greater weight will always carry up the less, and as all the wheels of a machine are put in motion by one, it only remains to know which power in the constitution has the most weight, for that will govern; and though the others, or a part of them, may clog, or, as the phrase is, check the rapidity of its motion, yet so long as they cannot stop it, their endeavors will be ineffectual; the first moving power will at last have its way, and what it wants in speed is supplied by time. “That the crown is this overbearing part in the English constitution needs not be mentioned, and that is derives its whole consequence merely from being the giver of places and pensions is self-evident, wherefore, though we have been wise enough to shut and lock a door against absolute monarchy, we at the same time have been foolish enough to put the crown in possession of the key.” --Thomas Paine, Common Sense We have clearly come to the point where our government supposes that there exists in our constitution a provision giving them complete dominion over our lives and themselves complete power. We gave them the keys to the caste. We are pre-American Revolution England, and there is a storm brewing…

Glenn Beck - The 912 Project : U.S. Not Prepared to Respond to North Korea Missile Launch

I think wisdom dictates that we, the loudest and most capable nation to oppose N.K. weapons development, owe it to ourselves to show in no uncertain terms that we mean what we say. Perhaps that's arrogant; but maybe it's also prudent. What do we gain by "passing the buck" to Japan when it's perceived as a "test" of our President's resolve? N.K. is poking and prodding to see where Obama's going to draw the line. They must think, as many of us no doubt do as well, that Obama is afraid of drawing that line-so he wont. I pray that Obama has it in him to prove N.K. and I wrong.

He insulted the People who elected him and the Office of the Presidency by running as something he is clearly not; by making rules only to waive them; by appointing Tax evaders and a Sec. of State who couldn't even utilize the resources of an entire Department to have one word correctly translated; by insulting the British PM with a "gift" that he picked up at Blockbuster; by spending our money with reckless abandon; and by appearing on Late Night TV... (I could keep going, if you wish) Where was HIS loyalty to his country when he was declaring the futility of the "Surge" in Iraq before it even began?
I agree 100%. Bush, for all the valid criticisms and mistakes, had a strategy that was larger than AQ or the Taliban. He and his team of advisers understood that 9/11 necessarily required a paradigm shift in the recognition, classification, and approach to threats to our security. Obama clearly doesn't get it. Kudos to him for wanting victory in Afghanistan, but if he thinks it's going to be "over" when AQ is "defeated" then he's delusional.
