I doubt Eve would have traveled all the way out there with no intention of having that conversation eventually. This is just the "last time I saw you, you made a kinda dramatic romantic gesture that would be un-chill of me to bring up as the very first thing, and I have no idea how to transition the conversation to normalcy in a non-awkward way."
