Most of them think the same way. Parents should have kept their kids home from school if they have a temperature. Parents send their kids to school as long as the school is open. The school has become babysitter not a teaching tool. Over the last few weeks my sister has sent a number of kids to the school nurse. In turn the nurse has had to send the kids home. They did not have the H1N1 virus but one of them did have strep throat. This could have spread throughtout her school. Why don't parents pay attention to their kids when the kids tell them they don't feel good? My theory is that WMD was going to Syria at the time we were going to Baghdad. I watched a lot of WWII movies when I was little. I loved it when we won. The men of Wake Island were heroes even though they lost. I do not watch movies about Viet Nam. The attitude was not to win, but to keep from dying. Because of 9/11, I was hoping that the attitude for Afghanistan would be like that of WWII. Go into that country with all your power and defeat the enemy. Because of this government we are not able to do this and I fear that we are now going into the same mentality of Viet Nam. Americans do not realize how many countries fell because we left Viet Nam. I went through initiation when I became a Chief in the Navy. I was put in a box that was built like a coffin with a hole in the top of the lid. I had to lit a match and keep it lit. Then when other chiefs saw the lit match they would call fire in the hole and throw beer into the whole. I was spitting mad when I finally got out. So when I hear about water boarding all I can think about it initiations. One thing about water boarding is it has kept us safe and I don't really care what they do to the terrorist. My niece saw the World Trade Center go down. She was living in an apartment in Manhattan at the time. I talked to her that day, she was scared and in shock.
