Big Hollywood : Octuplets Mom vs. Your Arguments

I have to respectfully disagree on this one. I don't see this lady as anything other than a drain on society. Responsibility by all parties was non-existent. It was irresponsible of her AND her doctor to make this decision, and the taxpayers are holding the bill. Further, as the lovely Ann Coulter points out.: Victim of violent crime? Thank a single mother. Well in this case there are 14 potential criminals now. Kids with no father figures, kids with an obviously disturbed mother figure. It doesn't bode well for their future. Do I think she should have aborted them after making the horrible decision to have 14 children? No. But you and I and even her own mother knows that she is incapable of providing these kids with a healthy environment to be raised in. Adoption would have let this bad decision bring happiness to some couples' lives.

Big Hollywood : ...And One More Thing About That Top 25 List

You hate lists, yet you basically post one of your own. You go on to say "How can you say _______ was a bad movie?" and proceed to name several you judged as bad movies. Your list, his list, NR's list....all opinions. None more important than the next. What makes a "conservative" movie (if there even is such a thing) can be different movies for different people. Anything that inspires conservative ideals like hard work, morality, spirituality, or justice could be considered a conservative movie. The same movie another might walk away with a liberal message from. Can't we all discuss conservatism in movies without looking down the brim of our noses at each other? National Review tried gave us a great topic for discussion, and the contributors have turned it into nothing more than snark.

Big Hollywood : Joaquin Walks Outside the Line

I'm not so sure I agree with the "staged" theory. His family has a history of substance abuse and mental illness, so this may or may not be actual "acting." Regardless, as Dave points out, there's not a finer actor working today, and it would be a shame to miss out on his talents. I hope he hurries up and gets to the punchline and starts making movies again. That being said, this still isn't Dave's most disturbing interview. Crispin Glover anyone?

Very eye opening piece, Bob. Thanks for this, and your service. Another one of ACLU's causes they champion, no doubt. Sad and complacent we've become.
