Red County : Prop 1A: The Drama/Publicity/Disagreement Continues... - SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY (CA), Part of the Red

I'm in favor of voting them out in the primary. But, you have to start identifying good candidates for replacements first and foremost. With viable replacements, the state is no better, and may even be worse for the efforts. Who is a viable candidate for this seat in your district?

Good California conservatives have a major problem with statewide name recognition. Boxer is the most ineffective member of the Senate. I'm sure she is vulnerable, but I haven't seen any candidate willing to step into the ring who could draw the conservative voters to the polls.

The "Republican Party" did not pick Arnold. Most of the GOP activists were supporting Simon or McClintock in the recall. But, Arnold was elected in essentially an open primary. Democrats had a huge hand in selecting Governor Kennedy Lite. The open primary is what put a lot of RINOs in office. The open primary is a threat to conservative voters as it comes up for discussion again.

Find a candidate you can support in the primary election against the incumbent you find objectionable. It is time to stop re-electing legislators who tax and spend Californians into the highest taxed state in the union.

Let me suggest you look to 870am for more intelligent political discussion and less "he who shouts the loudest wins the debate" style shock jock. Hugh Hewitt, Dennis Miller, Dennis Prager, et al actually think before they open their mouths. There are other outlets for the information you are looking for that won't insult your intelligence, but you can't find them if you are listening to entertainers chasing ratings.

John and Ken are not leading a revolt as much as they are entertainers pandering for ratings. If they were leaders they would regularly identify and promote intelligent and qualified candidates for public office. They could help build something better, stronger, and more facile. Yet, their interest seems to only be directed towards tearing down Republicans elected to office. The only candidate I can remember them endorsing was Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger Kennedy Lite. They targeted Drier and tried to elect a weak democrat. They want to throw the baby out with the bath water.

The age of big government started in 1993 and continued to 2008. But, it is well past the time where we--the voters--need to act at the ballot box and end the spending. Congress, the White House, and the state house is spending our grandchildren into high taxes.

Red County : The Case for Conservative Populism - NATIONAL, Part of the Red County Network

I'm looking forward to a new attitude in the GOP. An attitude that embraces the populist and shuns the big and brash. There has always been an internal struggle in the Republican party. The elities in the party who want to protect their wealth--often with the collusion and/or protections of the oligarchy. And, the other side of the party who wants less government, lower taxes, and more personal freedom and the responsibility that goes hand in glove with the freedom. Obama refers to the second, and mush larger, part of the party as those who want to keep their guns, religion, and antipathy. This is the part of the party that wants to re-make the party into the populist Republican model. Look for the party to become more driven by popularity and less driven by moneyed politicians--the plastic politician--who are so disconnected from reality that they want to spend like drunken sailors with tax dollars.

The federal government was not funding ESC research, but it was being conducted during the Bush administration. Bush never prohibited research--he banned the use of new lines of ESC and the use of federal dollars in the research. Private money was used for ESC, and ESC with the existing lines was funded. The media misreported the facts on the Bush ban.

Red County : California Politics: Seriousness

Arnold didn't try hard enough. And, Arnold's special election for his agenda emotionally and physically drained the election volunteers. First the presidential general election, then recall/special election. Then the regular primary. all happened within a few short months. I beleive that if the governor had waited to push his agenda at a regualarly scheduled election the outcome would have been favorable. But, we will never actually know if this would have been the case. All I know is that I'm not anxious to work any other special elections or recalls. Every two or four years is enough.

Nancy Pelosi thinks that taxpayer funded birth control and abortion are good for the economy because it lowers the number of poor who might require government assistance. If she wants to lower the number of people requiring government assistance, why isn't she interested in controling illegal immigration as much as she is interested in contributing to ending pre birth life? Ah, the libera agenda hypocricy! Thanks John Morlach!

Red County : Taliban: Obama\'s Overture \'Illogical\' - NATIONAL, Part of the Red County Network

There is no such thing as a moderate terrorist. The Taliban has already responded to our naive president. I'm sure Obama has been humbled by the welcome his outreach has received. I hope he's not humilated when the Taliban and al Queda strike at their next civilian target and claim U.S. civilian casualties. It could be a nightclub in Bali, an embassy in Kenya, a Mediteranian cruise ship, a German bierstub, a Turkish movie theater, a Madrid train station, a trans-Atlantic flight, a van packed with explosives in an underground parking structure, military barracks in a friendly nation, or four jetiners destined for U.S. landmarks. But wait, haven't all of those scenarios been played out in the past? Or has my fading memory and Hollywood rewrites undermined my understanding of terrorism? I'll have to ask the White House to clarify what a moderate terrorist might look like.

The electorate has an opportunity to re-hire, or fire, the majority of the elected officials every two years. The next election cycle is already starting to shake out. Find a good conservatives and back them in runs against the bad seed incumbants. It is the best way to send a message. You want Adams, Codgill, Villines, and others out? Write a check to their opponent and mail them a copy with a letter on why they are not your chosen candidate. You can do this even if they are not representing your district. It doesn't do any good to burn down the house if you can't replace the structure quickly. Otherwise your completely unprotected in the next storm. So, put the plans in place and send the bad seeds packing in an orderly fashion.

Great post. But, I fear that it is too late to hope that American lives have not been placed in danger. Al Queda works weeks, months, and even years in advance op operations. While Obama extends an olive branch to those who plan to destroy the American way of life--they infiltrate our borders and scout locations and scenarios for further destruction. The road to hell is paved with good intentions.

Really listen to their radio show for a few months and ask yourself if this is what you want the world to think conservatives are all like. John Koblyt thinks that the person who yells the loudest wins the discussion--even if he makes no sense at all. Ken Champeau seem act as a navigator for a rudderless ship when his partner goes on a rant. What if they are just like the other liberal media, but posing as conservative talk show hosts? What if they are poisoning the water towards a conservative legislative agenda? They are entertainers working to fill the space between the delivered advertising. They do a good job at delivering listeners to their advertisers. They don't do any good for the Republican party. I think party politics in California are in a truly bad state of affairs, but John and Ken are not a solution to the problem--in fact they seem to be creating more of a problem
