This one's probably obvious, but I am ashamed: I Want it That Way And, because my bad taste doesn't pick favorites: Bye Bye Bye In related news, I don't know whether to be more ashamed that I loved "New Kids on the Block" (I even bought the T-shirt!), or that I only recently realized that the Donnie Wahlberg from the Saw films, Band of Brothers, etc., is... Donnie Wahlberg.

In high school, our class went to a skating rink and a couple of friends were helping me roller-skate. (They were holding onto me from either side). I was doing fine...until some doofus played "YMCA." It's not their fault--you *have• to dance when "YMCA" comes on. But that song is a deadly weapon.

I read Monica's post as an indictment of transphobes who use "ze" and "hir" as a way to avoid calling trans women "she" or trans men "he." As a way of saying to a trans women, for instance: "You may not think you're a man, but I don't think you're a woman, either, so here's my pronoun compromise." I remember reading someone who identified as ze/hir unless the other person was using "ze/hir" to avoid calling hir a woman. If you were doing that, you could call her she, thank you very much :). Unfortunately, I can't remember who it was or where I read it.

I must be the unluckiest person ever, because every time I get addicted to something they decide to stop selling it. First it was Vanilla Coke. Then it was a Chinese restaurant that went out of business; then it was the IC Spice at Panera Bread. (Though I did manage to replace it with their Frozen Caramel). Then it was Linda McCartney's macaroni and cheese. If the Alternative Baking Company ever stops making their Double Chocolate Decadence cookies, I will be really mad.

Honestly, I don't see what the big deal is about Clint Eastwood. He's been playing the same guy for 40-odd years, for one thing. And his work is so mired in privilege that it's just not very interesting. ("Disabled people's lives aren't worth living, so mercy-killing is good" does not thought-provoking commentary make, sorry).

I'm with EKSwitaj...we must have an ulterior motive. Like, Canada, plz try Bush for war crimes, kthanxbye. While we Americans have done some pretty silly things, I can't believe we'd wage war on the country who gave us David Cronenberg, "Ginger Snaps" and "My Bloody Valentine." (I'm positive it was Americans who screwed up the ending in the remake). That would be foolish. Especially since the "South Park" movie told us what would happen if we *did* invade Canada. /silliness
