Google Android Blog : T-Mobile taps LG for new myTouch and myTouch Q Android phones

Andrew - Did you guys ask T-Mobile if these new phones even work? Sounds mean I know, but I'm serious. LG has a history of putting out broken devices on T-Mobile and no one seems to care. The G2X and G-Slate are the best examples, random re-booting, volume issues, etc. Did you know the G-Slate doesn't even auto correct or auto punctuate with a double space after a word? That is a stock Android feature that LG managed to break in the STOCK keyboard app. I would encourage people to be leery of any from from LG until they decide to allocate their resources more appropriately; i.e. pay to get more qualified devs instead of wasting funds on flying the LG Girl around in fighter jets or teaming up with Rachel Zoe to do some ridiculous series of fashion videos.
Google Android Blog : Sleep, wake, and reboot issues are the latest problem for Android tablets

LG is probably the worst offender of this. Somehow they messed up the stock 3.01 build and have offered no fixes, updates or even statements to address them. The G-Slate was the second Honeycomb tab on the market if I remember correctly too. Google should take LG out back and beat them with a hose. My recent post

Just to clarify my stance. I do not prefer Sense UI. The stock 2.2 launcher is perfect, and Sense is not "leaps and bounds better". The less stuff we see with Sense the better.
