I have to admit that I do try to avoid going into battlegrounds until I'm a bit over the bracket, if only because I find a ten level gap a bit of an issue, but yeah, the grief people get for being low level, or being in PvE gear really annoys me. I don't understand why people assume that level automatically equates to competence. What's even weirder is that I sometimes do it myself.

Tell it like it is, man. My personal suicide run strategy is to charge into the big mob and hit Howl of Terror. It's awesome fun. I just need to remember to set my damned Circle first so I don't get killed.

You're dead right, I was overstating partly because I'm a clothie so I'm really *not* suited for that kind of job (I do a bit better now I've got some actual resilience gear) and partly because I find a lot of people seem to (a) engage in combat for the sake of it or (b) think that because they're not much cop in PvP *combat* that they're therefore no use in a battleground. What I'm advising against, really, is the common instinct to say "oh, there's a big fight going on at the Farm, I should go and join in" instead of saying "there's a big fight going on at the farm, I should try to cap the Lumber Mill"

It's very important that the healers know this kind of thing. Otherwise they'd just stand there doing nothing.

It wasn't real prep for a fight, because my guild would have absolutely killed me to death if it had been. Also I'm way to easily distracted to raidlead. I'd be like "Oh look! Onyxia's flying, when did that happen?"

Aww, sorry you're disappointed :( Part of the joke I was going for here was to explain the *right* strategy badly and confusingly, so I didn't want to put too much that was Just Plain Wrong in there. I was hoping for something that might on a bad night pass for a real attempt to explain the fight. My recent post bad raid strategy for fun and profit
