WIVB.com : New license plates put dent in wallets | WIVB.com#idc-container

I find the gold digging of the NYS Government to cover the deficits utterly despicable. Bogus is the excuse of the reflectivity of the plates surface. The waste of the Department of Motor Vehicles department goes beyond the issuance of new plates. Western New Yorkers, just look at your Windshield Registration Sticker and the NYS Vehicle Inspection Stickers. They are just not sticking. When I approached my inspection station for a replacement sticker they stated that the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles knew of the adhesive problem with their vendor but decided that recalling the bad stickers was not the answer. Instead, if the vehicle owner wants a new sticker (not guaranteed to stick), they will just have to pay another $6.00. This is so typical of an intransient system. Let the people bare the costs instead of those that created it. Private industry would never put up with this situation!
