But that also limits the possible good that can be done by a great candidate. The solution is not to mess with the system, but to mess with the candidates. Get the power hungry incumbents OUT and get real honest people in! I would be all for a lottery for the two houses in Congress to replace the old incumbents. Make both houses exactly 50/50 with repubs and dems, and then when the next election comes around, maybe we'd have decent people running and could replace those temporary holders of the seats.

Or we could just skip the lottery and get good honest people to run! Either way, lose the current candidates and vote in new honest down to earth humble people. The system is not the problem, the people in office now are.

Me too, I'm completely amazed at the wisdom of these men. We are definitely not taught this in High school or even college (and how sad is it that I am a political science major!)!

Amazing book, extremely highly recommended. (is it improper to use 2 adverbs? haha)

Ignorance truely is bliss...I just got a huge knot in my stomach after reading that last part about the gold. I honestly believe if that is true, were doomed. With the FED continuing to print and devalue the dollar (not on the gold standard) and without the gold that is SUPPOSED to back that dollar up, if we dont pull out of this recession soon, the country is in deep trouble.

Just found out today, my hometown is being hit hard by this recent recession. Because of Obama's lax policies and economic ignorance, my town is literally dying. Recently, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette wrote an article about our town. While it is amazing that a large paper like that is taking notice of the small towns in northern Pennsylvania, it is sad to find what it took for us to gain at least state wide recognition.

Haven't finished it yet, but to answer your question, no, it does not use the publicly misconceived definition of Fascism. He spends the entire introduction and part of chapter 1 describing what exactly fascism is and how the word is misused today. It also defines Fascism as not a right wing idea, but inherently left, as a "sister" to Progressivism. Chapters 1 and 2 are all about Hitler and Mussolini and each others one taste of Fascism.

Its great so far, I highly recommend it!

I find it a bit ironic that the website is called MOVE ON but the continue to dwell on the Bush Administration and the past. Maybe they should take the advice of their website!

Its the MSNBC argument of CNN gone arry! MSNBC feels it needs to go farther and farther left because it believes CNN is too far right and is in the conservative pocket! Sounds like these new policies are being created to balance the shrinking left to far right extremists. Well I've got news for those loons, the only reason the right is growing so fast is because the independents have had enough with Obama's crazy, kool-aid drinking, socialist policies!

I am currently listening to the audio book for "Liberal Fascism." GREAT BOOK! I've learned so much already and I'm only in Chapter 2!
