History tells us that if these Leftists fail to shut us up with these softer tactics, they'll eventually resort to harsher ones -- The re-education camps are coming...the gulags...the concentration camps...the mass graves. Well done! Thanks for taking the time to compile this list of examples and links. Dr. Craig Mitchell was presented with a golden opportunity to make a case against Obama's "Christian" faith, but he blew it. I think Obama's vow to "fundamentally transform" the United States of America is also evidence of this because the fundamentals of this country are that each individual is endowed with God-given rights....the God of the Jewish and Christian Bible. Also, Obama is the only one who voted against "The Born Alive Act". In other words, he's the only one who voted FOR infanticide. Killing born babies is not consistent with the Christian faith.

On one hand, Leftists tag Christianity as a scary and violent religion -- "Hitler was a Christian! Timothy McVeigh was a Christian! Evil Christians were responsible for the Crusades and the Inquisitions!" And with equal zeal they defend Islam as the "Religion of Peace" -- "Nidal Malik Hasan did not murder people at Fort Hood because he's a Muslim. He murdered them because he had a toothache or perhaps because a Christian preacher threatened to burn a Koran." On the other hand, they insist that Obama is a Christian and consider any suggestion that he's a closet Muslim as a form of "hate speech". So on the Left, to be a Christian is bad but to be called a Christian is good; To be a Muslim is good but to be called a Muslim is bad. They support the troops but oppose their mission. They are for "the children" but they want fewer of them to be born. Dissent is patriotic but anyone who opposes Obama is a traitor...and a racist, to boot! The Left is so profoundly confused, they always trip themselves up with their own convoluted arguments.

Here are several reasons: 1) We love children. 2) We love life. 3) We know these children will grow into the adults who will produce the wealth and pay the taxes that we will need to survive. 4) We know these children will grow into the adults who will invent the stuff and create the stuff that will improve the quality of life. 5) We want women to embrace their female nature because we know that they will be much better off for it. So now here's my question to you: "Why do you Lefties want to bring fewer children into this world?" I remember the moment when Sarah Palin went from being an average enemy of the Left to Public Enemy #1. It was during her big speech at the national convention in '08 when her 4-year-old daughter Piper smoothed down her baby brother's hair with a spit-covered palm. To the Left, that beautiful baby Trig should have had his skull cracked open and his brains sucked out. To them, his life is an affront to their unholy sacrament of abortion. That sweet, loving, innocent and genuine Norman Rockwell moment brought into stark relief everything that is wrong with the Left. They are death merchants praying on the innocent. And when Sarah's pregnant unwed daughter put the kibosh on a second Palin abortion, the Left really descended into the darkest regions of P.D.S. Just imagine if she had aborted her babies while refusing to shoot moose. Had she gone that route, Sarah Palin would now be a media darling more popular than Michelle Obama, Hillary Clinton and Princess Diana combined.

The lack of subsidized contraception is a threat to women's health? This is insane. A successful pregnancy is an indication that a woman's reproductive system is working properly -- i.e. it's a sign of good health. If she thinks a pregnancy is unhealthy, all she has to do is not have sex. And taxpayers need not subsidize that.

*Spoiler Alert* I agree with your analysis, Mr. Nolte. I think a very telling detail is in the porch scene, when Atticus and Sheriff Tate conspire to cover up the truth of Bob Ewell's death. Sherriff Tate: To my way of thinking, taking the one man who's done you and this town a big service and dragging him with his shy ways into the limelight - to me that's a sin... it's a sin. And I'm not about to have it on my head. I may not be much Mr. Finch, but I'm still sheriff of Maycomb County and Bob Ewell fell on his knife. Granted. They may have good reasons to lie on an official report. But I think it's a convenient lie that serves to protect Atticus' pacifist reputation. In public, he presents himself as a man who rejects guns, knives and violence. But in private, he secretly shakes the hand of a man who killed on his behalf. I'm confronted by a similar attitude here in Japan where people see themselves as the exemplars of nuclear innocence and world peace. In public, they pose as morally superior pacifists. But in private, they look to the U.S. to protect them with a massive military armed with nuclear weapons. In other words, they want to have their cake and eat it to. Interesting article! Of course, this news story, in and of itself, is no big deal. But its symbolic value is priceless. It makes plain for all to see the "power" of Obama's anti-Midas touch. He takes over the Presidency of the United States and -- POW! -- reduces it to nothing more than an employment agency. What's worse is that it's an agency servicing only one person -- ONE! -- in a nation of 30,000,000 unemployed people -- THIRTY MILLION!. If he succeeds in helping this guy, B.O. will give credibility to a lie that he can personally help people find jobs -- desperate people who will flood his office with millions of unsolicited resumes. If he fails to to help, B.O. will make himself and the U.S. presidency look pathetic, ineffective and powerless. Is he really that stupid that he would make a blunder such as this? Nothing Newt Gingrich has done comes anywhere close to this level of nastiness and corruption. He and Clinton are nowhere near the same.
