Glenn Beck - The 912 Project : 6/25 SC Gov Admits That He Was Not Hiking On Father's Day

I saw this coming and it made me so upset ... I really like Mark Sanford, and I was so happy to see him say that he would not accept any bailout money. I saw some hope in this man, and I'm so annoyed that this happened becuase now he will neer be seen in the same way ... He was wrong and it was the worst time for him to do something like that.

Glenn Beck - The 912 Project : Red Skelton's Pledge of Allegiance

I also had a teacher from California once who said that the Pledge was brain-washing! I would love to know who these people think they are. They don't understand that without people's devotion to our country throughout the generations this country wouldn't be what it is today. Everyone doesn't have to go out and get the flag tattooed over their hearts, but it simply comes down to being respectful...We need to get some of that respect back...

That was so great. It reminded me of when I was in the sixth grade and I sat next to somebody that did not even stand up with the rest of the class to say the Pledge. This used to infuriate me as a sixth grade girl who came from a hard-working, patriotic family and loved her country and thought that saying the Pledge was so very important. Every day I told this other kid to stand up, and he would always give me a face. But you know what?....He always wound up standing....because he knew I was right. I used to say...."Nobody can force you to say it, but STAND UP!! BE RESPECTFUL!!! DON"T YOU LIVE HERE? DON"T YOUR PARENTS MAKE A LIVING HERE SO THAT YOU CAN HAVE A GOOD LIFE???" And eventually he stood up every day without me saying anything. We have lost so much of that respect in this country. How are we supposed to be united at all if everyone has a problem with things that have been a part of this country for so long and are not hurting anybody. Everyone has such a problem with things that make us American. They would not tolerate that kind of thing in any other country.
