A truck traveling North on 1-5 was carrying a box spring which was unsecured and flew at me (driving southbound). I saw it in time and traffic was heavy anyway so I was able to slow down quite a bit. It hit my car in three places and missed smashing through my windshield by centimeters. I shudder to think what would have happened to me and my friends had it come through. I called police but since the truck was driving in the opposite direction I didn't get a plate number and apparently no other witnesses called it in so I'm sure he didn't face any charges for almost killing us.
