It's so painfully obvious that you don't listen to the podcast.

I wasn't aware that he has a column. I'll be sure to look that up, but he kind of describes why I enjoy not coming to wrestling sites on much. More often than not, I find that I want to celebrate pro wrestling but most folks often complain and argue. The fanboy stuff is simply tiring. Doesn't matter which side of the fence you're on, you just end up looking like a idiot when company vs company debates erupt. He describes the biggest problem with the IWC and that's their willingness to believe in the rumors as quick as they're posted. They become self-fulfilling prophecies and get peddled relentlessly. Nobody really watches wrestling, they merely analyze it. Everybody has become a critic and it creates a pretty dull atmosphere for people who want to talk about wrestling the way they might talk about Game of Thrones or Breaking Bad. That's not to say performances can't be judged, but we often concentrate solely on the performance aspect and not the actual content of said performance. Simply put, fans have become ultra cynical towards wrestling in general.

Robbie E is just amazing. I was rooting for him and Rob Terry to get tag team gold, always thought that was a dumb split and it destroyed Big Rob's push. Bro Mans made up for it. When they celebrated with the protein shakes, I legit laughed my ass off. Was rooting for Bad Influence, but Bro Mans are just as good for me. Even though they're probably transition champs at best.

Loved, loved, loved, loved this PPV. Been avoiding the dirt sheets simply because I wanted all the build-up with zero rumor mills constantly spinning. Really dig avoiding spoilers, it's definitely something I'll be doing more often. What I liked about this PPV was the blend of the action and storytelling. Something that's been keeping me hooked to Thursday nights since last years BFG.

Ultimate X - Not great, but I still enjoyed it, like all the matches. I'll definitely go on to say that it was my least favorite match of the night, but man, when Chris Sabin stole best entrance of the night with that kiss to Velvet Sky, it just made me want to see him win. Glad to see he now has the record for most X-Division Championship wins. His World title reign was unfortunately not as well received by the fans as his heel turn, but you can tell he really fits the role he's doing right now like a glove. Shame he couldn't transfer that into his babyface run.

Bro Mans vs Gunner/Storm - People will be mad at me, but I gotta say it. This was my favorite match of the night. What an incredible tag team match. Everybody went above and beyond in this one. Mr. Olympia looks like a fun replacement for Rob Terry. So glad to see these guys get the gold. Especially Robbie E. Someone who is criminally underrated because he chooses to portray his character pitch perfectly. Something so many wrestlers are weak in. The whole match was just brutal and a great cherry to their little feud they had a couple of months earlier.

Bad Influence didn't know - These guys are just some of the most charismatic dudes in wrestling today. Abyss coming back was a nice touch. Should be interesting to see where they go with it.

Gail Kim vs ODB vs Brook - Lovely match. These girls worked their butts off for this one and it showed in my opinion. I've been loving Lei'D Tapa since her gut check match and her allegiance with Gail Kim will be interesting to say the least. Really hoping for a No DQ brawl between Tapa and ODB in the future.

Bobby Roode vs Kurt Angle - Jesus, this match was brutal. I'm hoping Angle is just a god at selling because I legit thought he might be injured. Still though, such a great match and I love how they kept the victory for Roode within the realm of his character. He'll parade this around like crazy and do his great "It Factor" shtick. Now all he has to do is beat Austin Aries for the first time and then he's 100% ready for another world title reign.

EC3 vs Norv Fernum - I loved this match. Fernum seemed so energetic and dear god, I'm just scary impressed by EC3. Really looking forward to what else he has up his sleeve. He'd make for a nice opponent against AJ Styles for a one time world title match. I have a feeling he'll rise to the occasion. Plus, I love his gimmick of being Dixie's nephew. It's very cute. Reminds me of my aunt. :)

Sting vs Magnus - I dug this match despite the dead crowd. It's that more "old school" style of wrestling that I can definitely appreciate as someone whose been hooked on old WWE/WCW matches. It wasn't fast, it didn't try to steal the show, instead it tried making it's own mark through it's own pace. Definitely a match I could watch a bunch of times. I really dug the subtle heel turn happening for Magnus. He'll be on Team Dixie before it's all said and done. Really looking forward to see him grow even more as a talent. I think he needs a solid year of feuding with top stars in the upper mid card before really hitting the main event. More stuff with Sting, reigniting his feud with Samoa Joe, and I'm praying for a Angle/Magnus feud.

AJ Styles vs Bully Ray - Wonderful match, even though it wasn't as good as their Last Man Standing match. The amount of stuff they managed to fit in was great I though. AJ Styles looked like a mess when it was all said and done. Disappointed that we didn't see Garret or Knux turn on Bully. It's definitely coming, but I wanted to see it in the match. Still though, a wonderful match. Great cap off to the night that was really dominated by heels. It's definitely gonna get me tuning back in. Can't wait to see the next Impact. I just want to see Bully Ray go on a full tirade. His version of Hard Times was simply brilliant stuff and both him and Styles could milk this feud for sure.

I'd love to see him just drink a beer and give somebody a stunner in any promotion to be frank. I know my personal little post match victory is seeing James Storm and Steve Austin toast each other after a match. I mean, the man broke his neck and continued to wrestle. You don't ever quite stay the same after that. Truth is, it's better for him to just stay home at the end of the day. Although, he does a ton of traveling for his TV show, acting career, and occasional podcast travel. If Austin was back on my TV, I'd just want him to keep super simple. There's just too much ring rust, history of sever injuries, and scheduling conflicts to make it worth the risk.

Sad part is, he's spot on about the current state of the industry. Cena hasn't been able to elevate, not had Punk or Bryan. Orton and Sheamus hasn't really moved the industry towards a better spot. There are moments where one guy can become bigger than the business, but time and everything else moves on. Memories fade and what was once the biggest name in the sport is now a nostalgia act for the most part. Just look at Hogan and Flair.

Said it before and I'll say it again, it'll be a long time before TNA ever truly breaks out of it's ratings hole, that while is good for keeping their spot, has not done them any favors for their reputation. Odds are, it'll be a long time before we see anybody really command enough popularity to jumpstart the industry. I mean, look at WWE. They're only super hot in their own universe, but it's not like the general public's eye is focused on Daniel Bryan all of a sudden. If TNA wants to grow, they gotta do more than just bring in a bunch of indy guys. You gotta have a balance, that's the real trick. Balance. Attitude Era had it, WCW had it, and ECW had it, and to be frank, I'd argue TNA has it. Truth is, it'll probably be a while before anyone really commands the spotlight of the general populace. John Cena hasn't been able to do it and he's hands down the top star of his generation. If TNA stood in the Impact Zone, they'd be doing fine financially, but then people would hoot and holler about them not being on the road on a regular basis. Being on the road is super expensive and they have a early 2014 UK tour to worry about as well. As much as we'd like to think that guy x and y from Ring of Honor could set the industry ablaze, the truth is that until somebody really commands the attention of pop culture, the industry will remain in place. Not the worst thing in the world, but it's obviously there in front of us. Maybe the talent take it all too seriously or not serious enough, maybe the talent is too small, maybe there are too many guys in the business who just aren't very good on the mic and we're seeing the effects. Odds are, it's a melting pot of faults. Until someone comes along who truly is the complete package and then some, I don't see this industry really improving. Certainly not in TNA, regardless of whose in the front seat.

You can totally do that. Especially if they're on their way out. That's a good thing. Not the first time it's happened in wrestling and it won't be the last. Injury angle and/or a career vs title match isn't a bad idea. If anything it's showing respect to the guy leaving. Hopefully leaving the door open when things are a bit better.

Anderson is much better than you and others give him credit. Like you said, he's had great matches with Kurt Angle and Bully Ray across many shows. You also omit the great matches he had with Jeff Hardy, Bobby Roode, Magnus, Samoa Joe, Abyss, D'Angelo Dinero, etc. Not to mention he compiled a nice list of great matches in his WWE run as well.

I'm looking forward to it personally. It looks like a great DVD set.
