Constitutionally the stated peaceful and non-violent Bersih 4 is legitimate. The chances of a security and/or public order situation is very much less in Sarawak than in Semananjong from radical extremists and that is a problem which the police must deal with quickly or later depending on their assessment of the major or not major threat potential and the organisers and public informed accordingly. Sarawak police very conscious of their situational politics has been pragmatic intuitively and wisely.

If the the nationa interest is the sum total of 10, whether it is 2+8, 3+7. 1+9 or 4+6 it does not matter as long as the total is 10. It does not need to be only 10+0=10. What audacity for intellectual and political short-coming in a ministry which is supposed to teaching true national history to unite our future generations? How on earth can Bersih, Chekap and Amanah be anti-national interests? Merdeka celebrations are of interest to ALL political parties, communities and creeds and can be done in any manner as long as it is positive and not negative as it is so obviously and miserably failing to suggest on the part of the deputy minister and reflected doggedly by a state education officer. .UMNO's Saifuddin Abdullah has better moderation brains than too many of all communities in the corridors of power. It is a wonder he is still in UMNO and that is where he must continue to be and others should continue to be. YB PM, your basically moderate people do not seem to be sure where moderation should start, go or end because obviously there are still non-moderates still within.

As I had always stated there ARE radicals in every community and religion. LIM FANG seems to be one in the Chinese community. I agree with views and explanation of YB Hannah Yeoh and Vijohn. If we are ever to integrate there must be mutual compromising all the time with equivocal respect and accomodation.

Yes, these exhibits must be traced and if not located, the culprits must be identified and action taken. if recovered they or some should be directed to an appropriate museum giving an analogy on the case and punishment on those who defaulted. This is not necessarily bad publicity but good and tutoring publicity.

BN and especially UMNO will force Sarawak and Sabah out of Malaysia as technical interpretation of the constitution can work both ways. Maybe by then I will at last join a political party especially if Dtk Marina stays and starts one I will be there.

I had served this nation very actively for 35 years before and after independence, I had continued to support and nurture this same nation for another continuing 31 years since retirement in 1984 until today. Don't tell me now that our serving and supporting this nation for a total 66 continuous years believing that our Constitution and through much blood and tears, is the supreme document and law of the nation, it is now not so. If so what mockery of the best of our legal minds of the past, of all times, all races, all religions and all politics! PM DS Najib, God forbid, If you allow this as also in the name of moderation, you will be destructing the moderate Malaysia we are supposed to be.

This is the time that all Malaysians irrespective of party, race or religion who believe in moderation, the cardinal principle of our constitution, must speak up. This applies in particular to UMNO and BN component parties. If BN politicians keep mum or push for something that is not constitutional what does that imply ?

When are all these in terms of competing national development in the eyes of the world, retrogressing nation going to end? Our neighbouring nations are in the meantime moving forward while we are still uncertain which direction to go even though we are supposed to be a secular nation. In the meantime we continue to draw chain-link fences around ourselves as if we are all abnormal and too primitive human beings to be let loose in society.

Everybody think they are more right and they are not political. All assume they are qualified to make decisions in the public interests and we wonder why the younger generations are so indisciplined and tend to also make their own decisions. This is what politicians must realise. The moment they do not follow the rules first at the highest level, then lower and then at even lower levels, this catches on everywhere and we wonder why crime and public order has gone so bad. As usual blame the police who too is not always 100% blameless.

Yuet Leng Yuen Let the real heart of majority decent and compassionate nation come out with demonstrated action in money or kind to affirm this which is what we should be doing more now and in the future and that we are all irrespective of race and religion, just fed up with and have had enough of the bigoted politics of race and religion which is a subterfuge for the continued and still growing greed of those who have crept into the corridors of power in the distorted name of uncompromising race and religion. Our true politicians of nation must learn one thing, even if politicians elsewhere do not, that you have to stop playing politics once the elections are over. You have to begin to really look into the basic and perspective needs of the people whether BN or not BN because we just do not want to see pictures like the one above ever again. How do you expect this little girl to feel, think and act when she grows up. Stop talking protectionist singular racial and religious unity for national divisiveness but just do whatever necessary for the victims wherever they are and whosoever. The worst that can be done is to come in with less than national political terms. in places like Kelantan where we saw an MB worrying about the water beginning to creep into his house while in the less fortunate kampong houses like that of a Malay family known personally to me were being being carried away by the rising waters. There is a real need for PAS to be more progressive even if they are not ready to be liberal while there is also a real need for UMNO to be less individualist, less racist and more moral. As they now are both are not too attractive.\
