Oh yes! I'm looking forward to the Buddhism & popular music article. Fingers crossed it will lead to a future 'Music' issue curated by Rod Meade Sperry.

Thank you for bravely sharing these difficult memories. I feel like I'm reading a cool boy's diary when I read what you post so take that as a compliment :) It's amazing how far you've come. From darkness comes light.

Shambhala SunSpace : Book review: Noah Levine’s “The Heart of the Revolution”

I agree with Casev below and I'd start with Noah's first book "Dharma Punx" as it's more about changing from a self-destructive lifestyle to that of discovering there is a different way of living. I saw a LOT of my own struggles in Noah's story and it resonated with me in seeing how hurt I was and how much healing I needed to do rather than to continue in the path of my own self-destruction.

I'm really happy to have a teacher like Noah out there how presents the dharma in a way that truly comes from his heart. That man is a big ol' softie!!!

Shambhala SunSpace : Rethinking Buddhism and Sex

I'm looking forward to the upcoming book as I haven't seem much scholarship on this topic. Are there any other books out there that provide a non-biased opinion on Buddhism and sexuality? Thanks for this article. When I read it in Buddhadharma, I felt it was important for Buddhists to read in order to help to examine our perceptions and attitudes towards sex.
