im simply amazed at how '87 movie accurate he is, he looks exactly like billy barty! ... it makes me wonder if blade could have been that extra bit more akin in likeness to anthony de longis?? ... still, an amazing figure ...
im still stunned how we've even got a movie accurate gwildor in 2014 ... it's crazy!!!

GB's 3?? ... hmmm, im not so sure about this - not that i have a huge problem with an all female cast, but it just sounds like a bit of a washout already to me ... im a huge GB's fan and honestly, after the passing of ramis i really don't want to see another movie ... ive seen other franchises (terminator etc.) go down the same route with sub-standard sequels/revamps etc. and for me it just takes the gloss away from the original movies ... GB's 1 & 2 are simply cult classics and i would hate to see the brilliance of the originals tarnished by off the mark re-hashed movies ...
i think sometimes we should just be satisfied with what we have

the hood is way off for me, it should sit on his head a lot more snuggly (like the vintage prototype) which would add to the mystery/wizard image of eldor ... the hood, for me, just looks awkward and well ... wrong! ...
i think after years of being fixated with the vintage prototype, seeing this - he just looks like 'random wizard guy' rather than 'eldor' ... i guess i wish they'd stuck to the prototype colour scheme and design a bit more closely ...

and WOW! - what a movie ... i saw this in 3D and it was phenomenal, i had low expectations and they were just blown away ... the soundtrack added a whole different dimension to this movie - and because i loved most of the songs already, it was so cool to hear them and it really intertwined well with the story and narrative ...
oddly enough, my girlfriend had heard of GOTG before through the 80s cartoon, and i hadn't! ... that was a first!!! haha ... :-)

the chest plate design is a little odd, but i guess when he's on display with other figures it will be hard to tell ...
love the colours on this one, the sculpting on the face details is fantastic ...
i really love the more maligned/less fashionable/rarer/later released characters of the original MOTU toy line and for me, rio-blast fits into that category ...

as for karg, as much as i would LOVE to see him - i just don't see it happening, unless for some reason mattel bought the rights to the '87 movie ... that's my biggest hope for 2016 and beyond, but i've kind of accepted that it's not going to happen ...

it's going to be weird when vintage MOTU is all wrapped up next year - i still think ''wow!'', how did we ever get this line at all?!?!
