It is possible that she contacted some sort of an underground place that hides people that are being abused. They tend to be pretty tight lipped, I would hope that if this is the case that someone has enough sense to speak up.
She very well could have cried abuse even though there was none going on. Anyone can say anything and be very convincing if they really need to be.
This is a huge way to get revenge.
