I had a long conversation with my dad about this. I told him how badly I wanted to support the team, but it was really tough. For lack of a better word, it's painful to watch this team play; and I feel bad saying that. It would be different if the squad were full of 4- and 5-star talent and just wasn't producing; but these guys are playing their hearts out...and its just not enough. Unfortunately, at this level you're not going to get fans who dish out money for tickets just to make the kids feel good and feel supported. This isn't Jr High. People need to see results before they're willing to buy the tickets, drive into Carver and take a seat. It'd be nice if we could FF'wd a couple years to see these guys as Jr's and Sr's before making any judgement...but seeing other teams, including fellow Big Ten teams turn around with new coaches within a year or two is making Hawk fans patience grow thin!
