If you do your research, the UAW has consistantly taken consession after consession trying to keep the auto makers alive. But you are right about the corporate greed being the down fall. I not once thought of myself as greedy. I have been able to provide for my family and give my children opportunities because of the wage and benefit packages that were negotiated for me. I am college educated and work very hard for everything that I have. I have what every American should have. So don't try to destroy my life, help make yours and others better by joining a union.

I have never gotten a prescription for free nor have I never had to pay a co pay at the doctor. Check your facts so you don't sound like such an idiot. And as far as saying it is monkey work I would like to see you work as hard as these people do. You would propably quit within the first hour.

No, corporate greed is the reason. Nothing more. The UAW was always willing to negotiate with them. Why would we want the jobs to go elsewhere? Honestly.
I am glad your not getting paid (which I did not even know people got paid for this) because your opinion is totally unresearched. I know for a fact that the people working on the new 31 bypass to indy are not even from this state. Mitch has outsourced jobs that should have gone to Indiana workers. Jackie Walorski has been a rubber stamp for Mitch ever since he got elected. And don't tell me that she could not have done anything about the unemployed in Elkhart County. She should have been out there pounding the pavement looking for businesses to relocate there. Where else could they have found great experienced workers. Face it she dropped the ball. She is way to busy campaigning to worry about her present job and the people she represents.
If there had not been a bailout for the auto industry thousands would have been out of work. Everyone from the UAW to the small parts manufacturer. And I don't know why everyone keeps putting the blame on the labor unions. No one ever says anything about the millions of dollars that are given to the auto execs. The UAW workers are still known as the middle class so that tells me they are just making a average wage and nothing over the top like it is so often reported. If you get rid of labor unions the ramifications would be felt nation wide. When companies don't feel the need to pay decent wages and benefits to their employees in order to keep the unions out, what do you think will happen? We will all be working for minimum wage and no benefits. Do your research Pavi, labor unions have bargained and died for the benefits that we all enjoy. Go Unions!
