One thing that struck me from "The Shack" (which BTW is 100% less funny than this blog) was when the dude (I'm not too good with details, like names) is expecting God & Jesus to do their daily devotions on day 2 after having done it on day 1, and one of them (again, details...) says something like "it's not about the routine or the ritual..." This would be a much better comment if I were at home where my book is and could actually get some of it right, but I think most of you will know what I mean...

I see God's glory and beauty in the sky: sunsets, sunrises, falling snow, stars, the moon, the sun. In nature: birds, flowers, trees. But mostly in my children - especially in the unquestioning faith of the little ones...

It was my 4th pregnancy. At 12 weeks, we were told the baby's heart wasn't beating anymore. The Dr suggested I have a D&E, but I was against it because of what would happen to the baby's body during the procedure. However, for several reasons, after waiting over a week for "nature to take its course" and after having 2 more ultrasounds to confirm, we decided to go that route and I had the D&E. Three days later, I passed a blood clot, and right afterwards the baby ended up in my hand. The people at the hospital were outraged that night - saying the Dr. hadn't done her job. But I knew it was God - He gave me that gift so I would know that the baby's body was perfect.
