Thanks so much! That's great to hear =) I'm glad you think I'd be a good teacher! The only problem is I wouldn't be good at classroom management, but I have tutored one-on-one in the past.

I do believe in thinking the best of people in general, but I don't see that as the same thing as respecting someone's position of authority. You can respect someone as a human without respecting the position they're in.

I wouldn't say doing your own research is inherently dangerous by itself. It can be dangerous to use your own conclusions to make choices that go against the safety recommendations of experts, or encourage others to do so.
