You have to realize that the casuals doesn't really like spending money on these type of things. Many of the "casual gamers" were actually hesitant in buying this, but because of all the media and all the nintendo marketing, they ended up buying it and probably ended up playing one game. Wii Sports :D Most casuals might not care if a new Wii is released, and just stay with their originals. The only way they would get Wii 2, would be if Nintendo upgrades their Wiis quite a bit and maybe HD graphics, more hardcore games, but still appeal to the casual market. I don't see why everyone HATES that Nintendo is going for the casuals, but Nintendo does have to realize that the "hardcore gamers" need some games too, or they will leave Nintendo for Sony and Microsoft. By the way you must note that HD will eventually be cheaper in the future to put into consoles, making the console cheaper too.
